The reality is this game means more to Gerrard than it will to the AV players with the exception of Coutinho. If City start well and get an early goal then we should be OK. We just need to keep calm, avoid giving away stupid free kicks in key areas and keep 11 players on the pitch. Come on City!

To give slippy some credit (can’t believe I just said that) I think he’s handled himself with professionalism and not given into the obvious narrative.

I feel a bit sick but I don’t actually mind him that much as a manager.
