Nobody was pathetic. Just nobody played that well.No-one. They were all pathetic, I can't even be bothered to vote.
We lacked energy and pace to our play, nobody was taking hold of responsibility (bar maybe Stones and de Bruyne but they still weren’t great) of possession to make things really happen. Frustrating to watch but nobody was pathetic.
It was one of those calm-before-the-storm performances. We’ve got a big week ahead next week travelling to Seville and then Spurs at home. No matter how much Pep has always talked about or how hard the players try to think of it as “one game at a time”, it’s impossible not to think of games ahead like next week.
Last season before that tough week when we played Chelsea-Paris-Liverpool away in a row, we drew 0-0 at home to Southampton.
We play Sputhampton again next month before we travel to Anfield and the Emirates in the same week, and I can see that being another one of those games.
It’s just natural. These players aren’t robots you can programme, they are just humans.
