Aston VIlla - relegation?

Going down, nailed on, shame as a great traditional club, like us a rich history, though they have the added bonus of a European cup. Good fan base, great away ground.

Since O'Neill did one they have been in decline and relegation is inevitable - if not this season then next unless they make massive changes. FFP bullshit has made them an unattractive investment & I genuinely feel sorry for the crap they are in

Feel for the supporters but there is such a lack of ambition in the club when compared with that tradition they will get what they deserve.

I would have thought Lerner seeing todays TV rights deal would want to move heaven and earth for a piece of the prem deal ffs - and it cannot be too much of a shock to a business man like him that the value of a PL place has rocketed again the cheapskate muppet

Is Lambert the new Stuart Pearce?
I'm sure Norwich played decent football when they got promoted under him. So, what has happened?

If Lerner had any ambitions for Villa he would have seen the writing on the wall a long time ago with Lambert and got shut. Serves him right.

Worst time ever to get relegated - next 5 games crucial for them - if they don't get 10 points from them at least - I think they are down

Its a real shame because we will end up with Sinclair back again.

other than that, they were one of the gobbiest set of fuckers about our takeover so fuck em!

I thought they were superb under O'neill, they almost got fourth place and every player was playing well. Not sure why he got a lot of stick there. Laursen, Barry, Milner etc all playing brilliant.

They loved the chairman at first but he didn't want to chuck a little money O'Neill's way to try to pip Arsenal the season after, kind of reminds me of Levy where we are punching above our weight but won't spend a little extra to get us over the line. After that he just played a usual clueless chairman getting in a wank Houllier, then getting a useless rival manager in Mcleish (sp). I guess he fell for the flavour of the month Lambert who was doing well at Norwich. How often do we see that happen? I remember daft Spurs fans wanted Owen Coyle and everyone raving about the likes of Phil Brown who was doing well for a while. It's obvious Lerner has no clue.

They still have some decent players there. Guzan, Lowton (think he's good on his day) , Benteke, Delph and Vlaar. I would put Cleverly i there because he's champions league quality, but don't want Villa to sound too good
