The only time I have attended the last game of the season when nothing was at stake was vs Everton back in the 70's/80's and it ended 1-3 if my memory serves me right. Would not be surprised at a similar outcome this weekend.

I dont really care if we win it, just as long as the players and Pep have a good day ..... if we won and Arsenal lost we'd only finish one point behind them, but that would probably make us feel even worse knowing we'd come so close !!

John Stones is the only player left from Guardiola’s first League game, the opening day victory against Sunderland in 16-17, so it would be somewhat fitting if he played the whole match tomorrow.

Oddly enough, the goalkeeper that day, Caballero, looks set to be in the second-in-command chair when the merry go round restarts. ‘It’s a funny old game, Saint…’
I can't believe he's made the England squad, we've hardly seen him on the pitch all season ..... the only good thing is other defenders being selected for the England squad has upset Harry MaGuire and his mum!

That'll be some feat to pull off!

What a team we had then, we are in a sorry state now, we will never have a team like that ever again, sob
Give over. Sorry state? That's an insult to Pep. We just won 2 major trophies that 90 other teams in the football league would have given everything to win, 91 if you include the title winners. That, for a team in a rebuildng phase is a magnificent achievement by anybody's standards.

Might not have been the top prize but this club is in a far better place than it was 10 years ago. We're also the best run English club probably ever and there's no reason to see why we can't reach similar heights going forward.

This isn't like the rags who had no plan for Ferguson leaving and 13 years on, still don't. The fact that they've taken on Carrick as head coach tells you that much. We've reached the heights they aspired to for 27 years and we're not going anywhere.

Odd that Stones hasn't played since January though, especially given our defensive issues at the time. He claims he has been fit and ready to play but not selected.

Mixed feelings. Imagine losing it on the last day in Pep's very last match? That would have been a hell of a downer on a day that will be a celebration of Pep's tenure.

Interestingly pep just mentioned his dad and family are coming to the game. Also ederson is coming for the post match tributes I wonder if other players may come?

Thinking aguero, David silva, sane, gundogan, Yaya ?
