I always think back to the Purslow interview where they said they had planned perfectly for the day they sell Grealish and that’s why they bought Bailey, Ings and Buendia to replace him. 3 players that they can’t fit into the same team without dropping Watkins (which they don’t want to do) or by playing 442 , which they also don’t want to do. They completely imbalanced their squad and as a result the manager gets the chop. Top planning that.

Honestly I think it's a bit harsh and that he could've turned it around, but I suspect this is one of those where they were just waiting for any excuse to get rid of him and have been for a long time.
