Aston Villa Thread - 2021/22

Gerrard is clear favourite for this role. I think this is a bad appointment for both parties. Gerrard has done a good job in Scotland, albeit in a 2 team league. When klopp leaves Liverpool, he's probably a certainty to replace him which is obviously Gerrards dream job. If he fucks things at villa, he'll probably get nowhere near the Liverpool job.

From a villa point of view, again Gerrard wants the Liverpool job so surely it's only a short term fix until klopp leaves? 2/3 years at best.

There was me thinking that Gerrard had done really well at Rangers, i then read that he's only won one trophy...

The Gerrard appointment is great because I had this horrible dilemma with Villa last season.

I really liked the team, and the style of play, and the manager, but absolutely despised the fans.

Now with Gerrard taking over, I'll despise the fans, the manager, the style of play and the most likeable player now plays for City.

11th of December, Liverpool vs. Villa is going to be absolutely vomit inducing levels of history worshipping cringe.
