This was inevitable when Michael Beale took the QPR job over the summer. Or at least it seems that way.

Beale's always been lauded as the brains behind Gerrard's managerial successes at Rangers in terms of breaking Celtic's quest for 10 in a row, and some of their decent European performances the season before last. It looks like Gerrard lost his key assistant and things have just became a shit show in the aftermath.

Oh well. What a shame.

I hadn't seen that mate, but that would be fantastic irony and not entirely unsurprising.

I reckon they will try and go for a 'name' though. If' I'm Beale, I'm steering clear of that job. They appear a bit of a basket case with somewhat lofty ambitions in a league full of cash, whereas he has QPR top of the Championship with his method's not even fully in-bedded yet.

Beale was recently linked to the Wolves post, but nothing seems to have come of that.
