Aston Villa Thread | 2025/26

Some drop off so far, but feels partly like that’s PSR doing its job. Villa, Newcastle, Palace, Bournemouth, Brentford, all posed a bit of a threat last year, but are being put back in their box now by being asset stripped or prevented from investing. The league is much poorer for it.

They deserve their own thread, now they're well in the mix.
The win against Arsenal today helped us out immensely. A bit the their 2-2 draw, at the Emirates, a couple of seasons back.
They've gone quietly about their business, including a win over us.

It wasn't a 2-2 a couple of seasons back, they beat them 2-0 at the Emirates.

I must admit, i didn’t realise that they were so close to the top, until I saw the table after they beat cheating Arsenal.

It has to be said, Emery is a top-class coach.

29/1 on Betfair Exchange to win the title. Those are huge odds in my opinion.

I watched the second half in the ground to avoid the rain outside and they were excellent I thought and the win was well deserved.
Ok, I've had a bottle of champagne and a lot of whisky. I might be missing something here. What were you doing for the first half? Were you just standing outside the ground?
