Zabaleta? - Watch who cost 2 goals in the Audi Cup (more mistakes in the past CL games vs Ribery as well.). Zab is a good player but he just couldn't cope with the pace of Bayern's attackers at all.
Dzeko? - His Wolfsburg's form vs his City's form is totally different (Actually his Wolfsburg form was just like .... million years ago as well;) ). I like Dzeko but think you've already forgot who was really off form against Bayern and caused the Tevez/Mancini's incident at Munich.

Imo, put these two vs Villa and keep Negredo (strength vs Bayern's defence) and Richards (pace vs Ribery) for the CL game is just making much more sense.
Will Richards pace help to prevent Riberys attacks. Wow :). Believe me it is much more important defense on Ribery that to out run him.
( And when you outrun, outpace Ribery IF you manage to, you leave a big open place for them to counter attack you )
I stand by my opinion that Dzeko is more suited for the Bayern game, i can explain it to you if you want. But your points are also valid. Thanks for the videos.

Richards did better than Zabaleta in their respective games against Bayern. Richards outpaced and snuffed Ribery, forcing him to go inside for the rest of the game.
It is a little worrying that we can't really rotate the centre midfield without weakening dramatically. All other positions except maybe centre back we can rotate and replace with enough quality to not really have to worry but Garcia just isn't cutting it and Rodwell is never fit. It shouldn't be a problem right now, we're too early into the season to be worrying about exhausting players by playing them weekend and then midweek. Just hope Yaya and Fernandinho don't suffer from burn out christmas/january time.

Milner is another option in central midfield, but I share your concerns. Getting Rodwell fit is imperative, as Garcia sadly isn't good enough in my opinion.
Can I just say this I like Villa, have met a few Villa fans (loads last week in Brum) and they have been great lads, reminds me so much of us in many respects

3 agianst pilsner , 4 against cheats , 5 against pie munchers , 6 against villa ????? ,but i would settle for a clean sheet and 3 pts and get the away form back on track .
