This post is assuming silva is fit for bayern (plus richards and clichy being now fully fit)!

I think the villa side has to take into account the bayern side we want to play. For me, we should play our best squad against bayern, which i reckon is:

TO FACE BAYERN:
...........................Hart...........................
Zaba....Kompany....Nastasic....Clichy
...............Ferna............Toure...............
Navas..............Aguero..................Silva
.......................Negredo........................

Toure and fernandinho have played a lot of football recently, and as i think we need them at their best for bayern (particularly yaya) i think we should be careful about playing them both against villa. Maybe a 45 min each like against wigan?

TO FACE VILLA:
.................................Hart.............................
Richards....Kompany....Lescott....Kolarov
.....................Ferna.........Rodwell................
Milner...................Jovetic.................Nasri..
..............................Dzeko............................

I think we have minor problems in the CDM spot. Now that we have lost barry, anyone apart from toure and fernandinho is a real step-down in quality. I dont even know if rodwell is fit (he wasnt in wigan squad...), if he isnt we would have to play garcia instead.

With options like Aguero, Navas, Negredo, Toure coming off the bench, i reckon (i hope!) the above squad could do the damage enough to let us play a team that will make a real statement in europe against bayern (i hope again!)

Call me a miserable pessimistic bugger, but that 0-4 Villa v Spurs was the worst possible result for us. Whatever side Villa put out, no team gets whacked at home and then loses the next home game a few days later. And City's goal feast is going to run dry sooner or later.
It's nothing to do with skill, confidence, the quality of the players or anything.
It's the laws of probability plus the fact that their coaches will have insisted on a dramatic tightening of their back four.
I know these things. I've been following football for longer than most of you.

I envision this:

Hart
Zaba - Kompany - Nastasic - Kolarov
Toure - Dinho
Navas - Aguero - Nasri
Negredo

I think Dzeko/Jovetic will play vs Bayern.

In your dreams. I have the same wishes but i doubt it. I hope, mr. Pelle prove me wrong.

Hang on, you both think we'll leave our best striker out of the Munich game?

Not a chance Dzeko AND Jovetic will start v Bayern, not a bloody chance.

The BEST striker in man. city is BY FAR , AGUERO. Negredo and Dzeko are similar quality with different attributes.

The chance that Dzeko and Jovetic will start together in Munchen is 0 - 5 %
The chance that Aguero and Dzeko will start together is 30 %
The chance that Aguero and Negredo will strat is 70 %

This is unfortunately to me. Because i would like to see Aguero and Dzeko combo. Becasue i think it has a lot more potential. But unfortunately we will not almost sure see it evolve.

Zabaleta is one of the best players in this team. So he can play against anybody if you ask me.
.
Zabaleta? - Watch who cost 2 goals in the Audi Cup (more mistakes in the past CL games vs Ribery as well.). Zab is a good player but he just couldn't cope with the pace of Bayern's attackers at all.

Dzeko always played great against Bayern in the Bundesliga derbises. ( Use Youtube, ... .. )
.
Dzeko? - His Wolfsburg's form vs his City's form is totally different (Actually his Wolfsburg form was just like .... million years ago as well;) ). I like Dzeko but think you've already forgot who was really off form against Bayern and caused the Tevez/Mancini's incident at Munich.

Imo, put these two vs Villa and keep Negredo (strength vs Bayern's defence) and Richards (pace vs Ribery) for the CL game is just making much more sense.

Will Richards pace help to prevent Riberys attacks. Wow :). Believe me it is much more important defense on Ribery that to out run him.
( And when you outrun, outpace Ribery IF you manage to, you leave a big open place for them to counter attack you )
I stand by my opinion that Dzeko is more suited for the Bayern game, i can explain it to you if you want. But your points are also valid. Thanks for the videos.
