Ive been training for weeks. Standing outside the kitchen door for 3 hours every evening (to simulate the correct climatic conditions), then I argue with the Mrs for 20 minutes about which is my seat around the kitchen table. Im just reaching tip top condition for when we hit the 3000 point mark.

i bet you didnt practice handing £50 over at the end of every session did you!

We've been using monopoly money whilst working through different ticket office role play scenarios. My favourite is when the Mrs plays a particularly obnoxious ticket office bird who refuses to see if there are any seats further back and I have to raise the tone of my voice slightly in order to acquire the correct brief.
At the moment Im practising speed dialling with two mobiles at the same time whilst queuing up.
I think Ive covered all eventualities. Just hope the alarm goes off at 2am on Friday morning. The folding chair is oiled and ready.

You have also to create an area in which there is no phone signal..just like coms!

Down at the ground before 7.00am this morning, number 74 in queue. Tickets in hand at 9.35am, get in!.
Phoned last night and woman on phone stated that whilst there are no guarantees, she thought that anyone with a season ticket should get one.

Got to City for 7.10, had 4 tickets in my hands for 9:45.

Block 139.

Stacks and stacks of tickets at the box office guys, you wont miss out if your due up next few days.

-- Wed Mar 30, 2011 11:57 am --

How's that queue looking? Is it likely to be a lot quieter late morning?

All the feedback so far from people is go to the ground, or call the ticket line after 2pm. The tickets wont sell out today, so there is no need to rush.

Relax, have some dinner, then sort the tickets out this afternoon. I rang the ticketline at 1:30 yesterday, got straight through and tickets were sorted in 5 mins. All you need is your season card number, debit card and an idea of where you want to sit.

Got there just after 10am, queued for an hour & the queue was shortening all the time I was there. Surprisingly, managed to get 4 x £50 tickets at the front of the top tier, Block 549 down the side, so I'm happy & saved nearly £20 by not ringing.

Can't of missed me - Bald head no eyebrows, look like a crash dummy without the symbol on the side of my bonce.

I was 77 in the queue, just behind you, I got 2 tickets Block 135 Row 33 behind goal. Really pleased wit that, though I might end up in the gods.

Well organised, well done City!!
