I trust Fernandinho and Rodri to stop attacks better than Stones and Otamendi. I also trust them to execute our build up better than Stones and Otamendi. This is such a strong line up. We have energy in midfield with Foden and KDB. All we might lack is Jesus’ hustle up top. Depends what mood/fitness Sergio is in. But nevertheless, I expect Atalanta to suffer if they play their attacking game.

I am on the match day thread tonight. Can’t be arsed going and don’t have BT in the flat so could be interesting.

No BT for me and I binned the champions league this season, I hope we win it obviously but I can't afford it and dislike it immensely.

Pep does know best. Its the same thing as the centre back discussion. Pep has history of playing midfielders as centre backs and it worked pretty well. Thats why he's the Manager and we're not.

maybe he also needs to give them practise playing together while easing stones back into the first team...after all Stones could get injured himself again and then we would need these two having plenty of time playing together

Ottomendi sia disaster waiting to happen - for me he should be at least 4th choice centre half behind stones, rodri and ferna anyway

Otamendi is struggling at the moment and looks better with a commanding partner which Stones isn’t. Don’t think he deserves quite the level of stick he’s getting though
