What a performance - disciplined, mature, frustrated them and that led to the scenes at the end.
Stones/Laporte superb all night. Ake and Fernandinho played their part at the end and then Ederson who is sometimes criticised for not making saves makes two great saves.
Not the way we really want to win matches - but will take it this time.

Great to get through but what a shit show of a 2nd half, clinging on the last 10 minutes against 10 men. May have lost 2 big players for a bit as well.
Athletico as a club does not deserve their fans, incredible support even in defeat. Great fans, bellend of a club.
How that tosser Savic stayed on the pitch....wanker
We did well to maintain our composure.
Some of our supposed big players went missing tonight, must have been our most ineffectual half of the season in the 2nd.
Ake was solid when he came on, Ederson and Stones were immense.

Seriously, wtf is up with him ? Ex City players are normally fairly respectful and have no anti City feelings in them - but Savic was a total **** in both legs. He's not even from Madrid.
