I think Gundo, Mahrez and Grealish all come in.
I can understand that as all three are excellent at ball retention and our slender lead means that the balance of our game tilts towards possession, as we need them not to score more than we need to score ourselves.
Pardon me for the long winded way of saying yay.

I have a feeling that Ruben Dias may play some part in the game. Also, Nathan Ake is in too good defensive form to leave out. Possibly Cancelo will be rested to avoid suspension. There will be some surprises in the starting line up for sure but Pep has five (six with extra time) substitutes to play with. My prediction is a 1-0 defeat but with City levelling on the night in extra time to go through on aggregate.
Flippin eck you'll need a lionheart to cope with that prediction.

The ideal here is to start with Kev and be in a position to get him off the pitch early with the game won.

I think Bernado might be rested for Gundo so he can be fresh for Saturday. He puts more miles in than anyone and is vital against the scousers, ratting in a deeper position.

I'm a bit concerned that they might be a bit fresher than us on Saturday being at home so we need to mitigate that as much as possible.
Don't think anyone should be rested tonight... much bigger and more important than Saturday

I'm seeing far to much confidence from City fans on social media about this match.

Comments about "how we can beat Real Madrid" and "how well be facing the scouse cocks in the FINAL!!"

Look!! I'm warning you nobs now!! DO NOT SMITE AND POKE FUN AT THE FOOTBALLING GODS!!

For your sins I'm off to dance naked around a small fire on cronkeyshaw Common, whilst praying and paying hommage to the Gods of Football, hopefully undoing this curse you feckers have put on tonight's game, with you over confident manner.....

***I'm adding a "winking emoji" so none of the BM perverts spend a wasted afternoon looking for a naked bloke dancing around a fire...You know who you are....Karen!!

Edit, l cant add an winking emoji because Ric (our leader) is way too fookin tight.....Its probably because he's paying to much to those thundercunt hammer banning mods....

Anyways hope I haven't offended anyone?

;^)

Mahrez,Foden,Grealish up top with the main man just behind.4 goals for us.

It is definitely more important but it’s a different game, so I’d have Gundo, Marez and possibly Grealish in as a double whammy. We don’t need the pace and energy as much, we need players who can unlock defences in the tight spaces.

Really looking forward to this game. I think we’ll be ready to put down a marker.

I think we see a few changes here, with potential suspensions for next round and an eye on the liverpool game on Saturday.

I have a sneaky suspicsion we play with Fern and Rodri. They need to score so we can try and protect ourselves a bit more. Plus its the perfect game for Fern to be on the pitch and keep our heads on the game.

Ederson
Walker
Stone
Laporte
Ake -defended well last game and is good in the air
Fern
Rodri
Gundogan
Grealish
Foden
Mahrez/Sterling

Use KDB later in the game if needed / avoid getting booked
Rest Bernardo and again use him later if needed.
Rest Cancelo / avoid getting booked.
Jesus is banned

We have to be careful not to get drawn into their game, Grealish has to start for me - they hated him (for some reason) last game and will definetly draw fouls and possible yellows/red for them.

Get through the game without using KDB/Bernardo and we are laughing.

Not going to be an easy game, so if we need KDB and Bernardo later or in ET then they will be fresher coming on.

Come on City!
