Is there any particular reason why this game always seems to be played in Monaco? Apart from Monaco being awash with cash, of course. As far as I'm aware, UEFA doesn't have any administrative links to the principality.

The draws for the Europa and Champions League and the European Player of the Year have always been there. With all the clubs hierarchies, many top players there as well as everyone from UEFA; it's always made sense to have a big event on like the Super Cup to finish off the week.
