Along with Bayern they are playing the best football in Europe at present. City need to avoid them in the last 16. We have got more chance against Barca or Real at the moment.

Barca and Real aren't as good as they were, Atleti have a chance again this season.

They are superb and better than Barca and Real right now, IMO. When you consider their resources in comparison, that is incredible.
They are rock solid all over, but more importantly their system functions perfectly and they work for each other.
Also, and this is rare at a financially challenged club, they have excellent strength in depth with players like Adrian, Alderweireld, Cristian Rodriguez, Raul Garcia and Oliver Torres (he is going to be immense) in reserve.
