Atmosphere 2024/25

I am not interested in either stadium, the subject was about home support and I can categorically say that the Etihad in its current set up and configuration is able to generate a hostile, loud intimidating home atmosphere, the caveat is that the fans have to be arsed to deliver it and more often that not they aren't.
It doesn't matter whether your interested in these stadiums or not, the fact is the difference proves that your point about acoustics not making a difference are simply false.

Do you think it's a coincidence that every year we have a fantastic away support at Leicester, but seem to be awful at West Ham or Wolves.

Now apply this same logic to the Etihad

Can we just give up on this acoustics bollocks it's a proven fact the Etihad can produce great intimidating atmospheres, Hamburg ,Madrid, First Derby ect, its down to the fans to create it but sadly we don't have many who are up for it during your standard Prem game.
I was referring to away grounds that I've experienced not the Etihad. Apologies if you think it's bollox.

So what happened to the roof for the Hamuburg hame was it changed as a one off measure?
Genuine question, have you ever been to another stadium?

If you have, has it ever occurred to you that the sound seems to travel round different stadiums differently based on how the stadium is built?

That's one of the first things I noticed when I started following city away

That will be down to the demographic of fans who attend those fixtures, you are conveniently ignoring the inly fact in thus entire conversation, that the Etihad in its current set up has on more than 1 occasions generated the atmosphere people crave , anything else being discussed is purely theoretical

Multiple over many years.

Fuck all to do with roofs if everyone makes the effort. Plenty of grounds around the world without a roof that provide immense atmospheres. I’ve been to the etihad numerous times when we’ve created a fantastic atmosphere. We just don’t do it as a collective week in week out. This clip of boca versus river plate is immense and not a single roof ever built. It’s about effort and everyone joining in and making the atmosphere what it is.

Okay ever noticed at anfield how if a few people start singing at the back of the kop the whole ground can hear it and all of a sudden the whole ground is singing in unison?

However at the Etihad we've got 3 different singing sections who can't hear one another, making it pretty much impossible to sing in one voice.

Yes in very exceptional circumstances like Hamburg or Madrid this doesn't matter as much as enough of the ground is up for it that it's easier to create that one voice.

If you really have visited other grounds, which I'm sure you have, I really am struggling to see how you can't get your head round this

Would be louder if it had a roof. I've been to the Bombonera and trust me the fact that it doesn't have a roof is so noticeable.

They make a lot of noise don't get me wrong, but a lot of noise is lost in such an open stadium.
