Really disagree on that, they were only loud after their goal went in, the rest of the game I thought it was average at best, as you'd expect at an early kick off.

Comfortably best in the league my arse, not even close. This season Liverpool, Arsenal, Brighton, Bournemouth were all louder than Forest were yesterday.
I was at all of them bar Bournemouth and Forest were miles better than the others imo!!

I've also been to every game this season, there were large parts of the game yesterday where it was absolutely silent (I don’t think we were at our best yesterday either). Yes it was very loud after their goal, but who wouldn't be loud after an 83rd minute winner.

It's also worth noting that Forest probably seems louder as an away fan, as its one of the only grounds where the home team singing section is right next to the away end.

The Trent End ?

I thought they were very loud on some of the occasions that they did sing but like you said there were plenty of silent periods too.

I agree we weren’t at our best either

This can't be true?

Everyone knows about those famous European cup nights under the floodlights at ANFIELD.

Liverpool got the result their atmosphere deserved.

Portsmouth on Sunday vs Leeds is probably the best atmosphere I’ve heard this season.

The atmosphere at Anfield was awful despite the broadcaster's and Slot's attempts to claim otherwise.

A few years ago thousands of Liverpool fans lined up to smash our coach up with pyro and bricks. And now they are church mice. All in 5 years? I don't understand how a crowd can go from a mob to a quiet crowd.

Reducing ticket prices will help but we need a core group to sing so that others can join in. Those 2 things go together but whatever the problem is, it goes beyond City. Football is becoming like the theatre now where you go along with your camera, and your sweets and sit back to be entertained.

We all know what it is but doing something about it seems impossible.

What I find weird though is that this season and last season at Anfield I thought their fans were very loud when on many previous visits they weren't. Maybe they can only truly get themselves up for for games against us these days, despite claiming they don't give a shit about us!

I've always found them to be very hit and miss. As you say when we went there this season and last season they were very loud, and the UCL QF there in 2018 is probably the loudest I've ever heard a stadium.

But then sometimes you go and they're absolutely silent

They were loud for 30 minutes while they were battering is in 2018. When we took control of the game and the ball they were quiet again, especially in the second half when we piled the pressure on. With about 10 minutes to go when it looked like they would hold out the volume went back up again.

I must have missed something but why was there only 47,000 at Anfield last night when they had 59,000 for the Group games?

I'm also seeing complaints from Liverpool fans on twitter regarding the number of tourists filming the atmosphere rather than contributing to it?

Ironic but I wish some blues would take more notice and not just assume that the Etihad has a monopoly on tourists

There was an angle they showed of the two managers when the PSG goal went in and I'm sure loads of PSG fans dotted around jumped up....this is in the stand behind the managers which is usually off camera...anyone else notice that?

I think it's the vip seats that all clubs have to give opposition fans we put ours in Colin Bell level 2

Shit house of a club, but the atmosphere at Athletico tonight is what you can get when longstanding local diehard fans get the tickets, not thousands of event tourists and Tik Tok'rs. City (and Liverpool) could learn a lot.....but they won't.
Although City found it difficult to stop hundreds of Reals fans getting tickets in our end , Athletico seemed to manage it.
