Atmosphere 2024/25

I’m hoping what has happened with regards to demand recently has opened one or two eyes at the club as to what they may have to do moving forwards. Finally some realistic pricing for the Salford game, non match day members being able to buy for the Brugge game as two examples. They got cocky, they thought the tourists would be there forever, they thought the good football would be there forever, they thought they would never have to sell to non members again, they thought they could guarantee refunds on the ticket exchange for 12 matches and sell them all every time at inflated prices, they thought they could charge what they wanted and it would get paid. They can’t.

I know Sorriano doesn’t give a fuck, but there must be people high up who do, and are thinking we need to do something about this.
Surely he is doing something that khaldoon has asked him to ?

And we’re not being personal

There’s neville chanberlain levels of appeasement amongst some in the fan base and we just feel unfair to lay the blame at door of fans who are pointing out the obvious to the club
Agreed.

Decisions, agreements and arrangements made now will determine the structure for many years to come which is why i believe in my cause of.....

'Two end are better than one'

....where we can have, imo, the best of all worlds.

Keep persevering.

It might be a very small step. Visual if nothing. It certainly won't improve the atmosphere. But, I want City to ban half and half scarfs inside the Etihad next season.

When you come to watch City, you support City, not the opposing team, wearing their colours on your scarf.

Not only that, buying half and half scarfs from the souvenir hawkers outside the Etihad is taking money from the club, whilst the fans are facing increased season ticket and match day ticket price increases season after season.

The name Manchester City Football Club is owned by the club, and I would assume copy righted, so City, the City Council, and their trading standards department can confiscate fake City merch outside the ground. Chelsea are in the process of doing that legally.

By all means wear a scarf inside the ground, but wear a City scarf, not a half and half scarf.

I would of thought City have moved them off by now? Looks cheap and nasty.

I saw a tourist wearing a half and half scarf in the away end at OT.

Unfortunately for the tourist his half and half scarf didn't last long around his neck.

There was no aggression or violence. He was asked nicely to take it off, and explained why he shouldn't wear it in the City away end.

Gone are the days when the club would allow Fergie cock and Neville cock into the ground on derby day.

Some people might think it's childish, but to me it's football fan banter. Something that is disappearing more and more from (PL) football matches as the clubs and the Police crack down on such behavior.

It’s football mirroring life. You can’t say anything or do anything in case it offends. Football while be sterile in a decade or two.

Younger lads are going to County, macc, wherever.
Matches like that are still a bit like what we experienced all those years ago.
Prem football isnt and wont ever be the same again , sadly
Having attended a few lower league games I agree. You can see it in the demographics. Way more younger fans and groups of lads, which you never really see at the etihad.

The description from a previous poster in another thread of Khaldoon as a wolf in sheep’s clothing is very apt in my opinion. He’s a ruthless hard-headed businessman, the bottom line will always be his number one priority. However, unlike Sorriano I do believe he does have the long term interests at heart, the problem is, despite his very polished interviews, he doesn’t understand English football culture, and I think he has fallen into the trap of thinking the good times and the corporate/tourists will always roll.

Somebody needs to lobby Khaldoon and implore him to demand change. We as a club from top to bottom will regret giving Sorriano the keys to the castle one day, he will fuck off soon enough and he won’t give City a second thought.
