Atmosphere 2024/25

Yep, despite the result it was a decent atmosphere for most of the game in there. Good to see 110/111 at it as well. Also noticed a couple of songs start off in 116/117/118 which spread across the whole of SS1.

Have to say that compared to other European teams who come to ours, I thought the Feyenoord fans weren’t quite as good and loud as I expected. They went quiet for a good while after our 2nd and 3rd goals but maybe that’s because they’re more like an English crowd who tend to react to what’s going on on the pitch so I’m not going to knock them too much.
They seem like a hybrid. A very "English" crowd most of the time with reactionary and spontaneous chants but still very European in the way that they have "Capitans". The more I see of these clowns on European nights, the more I cringe.

No, they still had their stupid little conductors at the front of the crowd telling the choir which songs to sing. Outside of that random "your support is fucking shit", they were just like any other set of "Ultras".

I saw loads leaving early again when the game was in the balance... don't get it at all. What's the point in even coming.
Wouldn't be surprised if a few people sensed it had potential to properly kick off and wanted to get out ahead of time.

Especially with how many pissed up Feyenoord fans were being kicked out in home blocks.

I felt like the fans who were there last night gave it a good go. I was sat on a row with only 2 others in though. I’d like the club to just give tickets away to get the ground filled. For CL games if we haven’t sold tickets by two days before just give them to ST holders who aren’t in cup scheme but have been STs for long time. But if a nice gesture and some money from shop/bars maybe. Better than leaving the ground half empty. In fairness to early leavers last night a lot were parents with young kids that I saw.

Was there booing at the end which is being widely reported in the papers? Because I couldn't hear any on TV
There wasn't any booing. The stadium was shellshocked to be honest. Very quiet at that point (after being brilliant for the majority of the game).

Agree, I had to watch on TV due to circumstances beyond my control so had the TV on crowd only, couldnt hear any booing at all. Thought the crowd was quite good tbh.

I couldn’t hear any booing, the media are just full of shit as usual!
The patter is so well worn by now, rogue blogger aka supposed journalist asks Pep about the booing, Pep won’t have heard any because all you could hear was the away fans celebrating and I heard no booing on the box, but Pep takes it at face value, he understands if folks boo, and there’s the peg to hang their hat, “Pep understands why fans boo” even when it’s a load of old bollox.

View from afar: I thought this was another shining example of why the new stand is the only chance of ever improving the atmosphere significantly for the run of the mill games. Those in the singing areas seem to think that the atmosphere was OK but almost nothing spread around because you basically couldn't be heard above the away fans for 90% of the time.

Fans need to be on it Sunday. Can't be having away end full of people with cameras out and just stood there. Need to be right behind the lads. They need us
Too late - the usual band of tourists will be there having bought their package via our "travel partners" meaning 20/30% won't give a fuck

I took Oliver last night mate as I'm off work this week. We were in block 232 and there were loads of them celebrating in level Colin Bell level 2.
I'm was in 231 mate, if you're talking a out the people directly to the right of us in block 228 then they're uefa requirements to give the away team a small number of Category A tickets. I get kicked out of there as that's where my season ticket is.

i didnt enjoy the sheer number of Feyenoord fans in and around home blocks. Very irritating. Still, if the system is in place for them to get them, and the pricing is keeping home fans away....
That's the problem though - it's almost impossible to police who is using a home ticket due to volumes.
Apparently membership schemes and electronic tickets, and this involves most English clubs, just don't prevent away supporters getting their hands on them.
To be fair I'm astounded the electronic ticket system isn't more robust
