Atmosphere 2024/25

12.30 kick off on boxing day was never ever going to be a lively one anywhere, we drew the short straw in that. playing sleep inducing football isnt going to help either. You can always tell there's outside influences impacting the atmosphere by the away fans, didn't hear a single peep from Everton until they scored.

Dickheads that booed at the end can fuck right off, it was abysmal on the pitch but you never boo, it will never help anything and will only lead to piss poor negative perceptions of our fanbase. Most people that booed, it was the first noise they made in 90 minutes. Just fuck off home in silence if you're not happy.
Identify the ‘booers’....it’s our duty.

Advise the stewards and let them manhandle them out mob handed.

The club can then employ their well practiced policy of banning them.

Visible Consistency is sooooo important.

Gerramout !!

Regarding the atmosphere what I did notice as I watched about 4 games yesterday. City, dippers, rags, spurs all of these games were open games more or less end to end apart from one. One games was an anti football game, pay 70quid to watch a training game. It takes two teams to play football.
We're Everton anti football ? We're City anti football ?
City allowed Everton to get back into their defense shape time after time. Everton broke with pace and even had 4 v 2 in the last few seconds.
I was watching at home, I'm not doing that journey on boxing day at 12:30 ko plus the ticket price. But City did nothing to get me excited yesterday, I even predicted the who the first subs would be.
The kick off time was shit, real fans priced out or a stupid ko time, the team is flat,
I'm really sorry to say this but there was nothing to excite the fans, this lack of counter attack from City kills the atmosphere.
I understand why Pep is slowing it down, I get it we are down to our bare bones, but with haven't got the players to unlock a low block.

Now it's all right Pep trying to get the crowd going but just think about it. Make the tickets cheaper gets more real fans in drinking more lol, a decent ko of time than I think the atmosphere would improve

Not a mobile phone, iPad, or half and half scarf insight. Just football banter from young lads enjoying themselves on the terraces.

Sadly most of them will end up supporting a PL team and start watching football matches in sanitised PL grounds.

Hopefully they will stick together and continue watching lower league football in the future?

Click on the link, click on the X, top right, click on the speaker symbol for sound. Lol! :-)

I know it's been said a million times but the club need to wake up and sort this shit out.
We are currently trying to sort out a trip to Ipswich mid January.

Tempted to fuck it off and let some tourist go instead.

The biggest problem for us It not being able to get seats next to each other. The price annoys me ...yes.... but I'll might pay it to be next to my son. I'll will not pay it to be sat rows away from my son. I go to have great father and son time, been to 4 games this season and never been sat with him, I didn't really enjoy being around tourist in fact I hated it.
After decades of attending matches I'm on the verge of packing it in

Been to maybe 4 city games this season. Was getting my phone fixed in the morning and before I knew it it was 12 o’clock and too late to make it. Watched on telly and it looked flat as hell. Been a dire dire season let’s be honest. Poor management from the hierarchy and pep. For £400k a week and the money we have invested 1 win in 13 is laughable and I don’t care much what has gone before. You are judged on how you leave a job. Taxi and Pep have left us with a very unwatchable team!

What you are describing is the ticket policy that has been slowly, deliberately, and systematically introduced by City over the years. There is little or no thought for families of 2, 3 or 4 sitting next to each other in different parts of the ground via affordable family (bundle) match day tickets. Price the families out. Price the adults out. Price the kids out. Let the tourists, day trippers, and football fans of other clubs who don’t support City pay the expensive match day tickets prices and fill the seats instead for the big games, while fucking the lesser and midweek games off.

yeah exactly...years of it......pushing the boundaries.

It was rocking in Mary D’s after the game. You can’t keep good Blues down lol.
Boxing Day party with a DJ in The Angel on Gorton Lane yesterday afternoon and evening. Just 25-30 minutes walk from the stadium. Proper pints at proper prices. And it’s a blue pub with its own City room. Was fucking bouncing!

My honest thoughts when we attend City v Southampton (I'm 64)
I wasn't keen on going and doing the 600 mile round trip.
I wasn't keen on being sat on my own, there was 4 of us and all sat in different places :(
But the thing that made me think 'what the fuck is going on' was seeing a tourist walk out of the City shop wearing a spuds shirt. I mean what the fuck. The tourist had bought a City shirt and put it over his spuds shirt as his mates were laughing.
I thought to myself that I don't belong here. What the hell is going on and I bet these were all sat together !

This has really made me think about doing home matches. This type of football fan isn't for me. I don't want to go back to the bad old days of fights etc but I do miss the rivalry. Today it's like going to cinema. I use to come home with a bad throat lol when all sat together, I don't anymore cos no one sings

To go to City v Southampton and see someone in a spuds shirt buying a City shirt was bizarre to me.

Squeezing the fans more and more. Let’s do it again. Let’s try it again. Go on, another season. Let’s see if the fans can take another season on season ticket and match day price rise, or will we/it finally break them? I’m sure it won’t break them because they love City too much, and they will never walk away from City.

Roll on next season with an extra 8000 empty seats to fill. Go on City, do it again, another season ticket and match day ticket price rise!

cunts who are not arsed about the club and won't be here eventually.

When it finally bursts, as it will, then they'll be begging people to start going again and probably be forced into cheaper tickets as demand won't be there. JCL's all gone, tik tac toe dicks all gone, instatwat mugs all gone, youtube cunts fucked off, vloggers in a bin outside.

Can't fucking wait.

We won't forget the rip off cunts though ever.

If you support Barcelona, and you and your mates want an away ticket each in the City away end at Anfield, we’ll give you ‘tickets sat next to each other’, courtesy of Manchester City Football Club and the ticket office.

Early kick offs always have a shit atmosphere and negates any home advantage, that said I thought the support was pretty good yesterday all things considered.

On the umbrage taken by some at the hand full of people who booed at the end, it offers an interesting paradox. Those who fuck off with 15minutes to go are slated for disloyalty, yet the ones who booed at the end obviously stayed for the full duration, hence must by definition be loyal supporters. TBH if people want to boo that’s ok with me, this notion supporters should never whisper a word against the team is in my opinion bollocks.

If we had taken our chances none of this stuff would be getting talked about.

Funny enough we got two tickets away to Brighton. I was behind one corner flag my lad was behind the other corner flag :(

This feels like a slow breakdown of a marriage. I don't want it to end but it will
