Atmosphere 2024/25

Early kick offs always have a shit atmosphere and negates any home advantage, that said I thought the support was pretty good yesterday all things considered.

On the umbrage taken by some at the hand full of people who booed at the end, it offers an interesting paradox. Those who fuck off with 15minutes to go are slated for disloyalty, yet the ones who booed at the end obviously stayed for the full duration, hence must by definition be loyal supporters. TBH if people want to boo that’s ok with me, this notion supporters should never whisper a word against the team is in my opinion bollocks.

If we had taken our chances none of this stuff would be getting talked about.

Watching on the TV.

I didn’t think the mass exodus with 10 minutes to go was as bad as usual. It looked like most people stayed until the end hoping City would score the winner, which Everton nearly did, and in all honesty should have done, 2 v 4.

Always a few who boo at bad results or bad run of games. It's a minority though. Most just accept it and go home pissed off. Back again a week or so later.

The expensive ticket prices definitely do not help.

Boxing Day party with a DJ in The Angel on Gorton Lane yesterday afternoon and evening. Just 25-30 minutes walk from the stadium. Proper pints at proper prices. And it’s a blue pub with its own City room. Was fucking bouncing!
Yes but no celeb DJ Jacko, writer of may City classics including “Don’t sell Joe Hart”

It’s a boozer I’d recommend to anyone on a match day though. Just far enough away from the ground to not be subject to inflated prices - £3-odd a pint - and it’s a simple walk down Gorton Lane and past Ashburys to the stadium. Or jump an Uber if you can’t be arsed with the walk ;) Plus it’s only 5 minutes walk from my house!

A woman on FB was slagging off fans who booed at the end. Then said she’d not actually heard them as she left early. Oh the irony!

The Angel flag seen in Istanbul too

Would a Brazilian style band boost the atmosphere surely it couldn't be any worse than it is now.
Any better ideas
