Players have always had complimentary tickets. Mikey Williams used to sell them outside Maine Road.

Those were the days.
You still get a handful of old fashioned ticket touts outside the Etihad, ageing scrotes - when they’re not selling you tickets they’re probably burgling your house.

I doubt they’re sourcing tickets through computer wizardry - they’ll know people in the ticket office who sort them out

We could only get a train back to York and then a taxi home. A few beers in the system had a central heating affect.
It was the only time we've ever bothered with coats when going into motorway services after a game!! Good job there were so few Arsenal fans at the game as it was perishing queuing for a tube back to the car.

I was wearing my big thick Kappa City coat. It came in very handy.

Here they are at 10:13. Described as City fans from Majorca but they then say they come every year to visit Premier League grounds.

The Megaphone @PsG. First time watching city that we had a megaphone. 1894 lot organised it. I was skeptical at first, but the Polish blue who had control for the first 30 mins did a good job...and it helped to get all 4 sections singing in unison. Went down hill when others took control. So thumbs up from me on the whole...which I never thought I'd say.

Couldn't agree more. I agree with you that Greg did a good job to begin with, wasn't acting like a Capo who's in charge, but was merely using it to help songs which had already started spread throughout the end.

I don't think a megaphone would be much use at places like Leicester or Fulham where we always create a great atmosphere anyway, however at these away ends where we sing in little pockets, but often not in one voice, it could be very useful. I'm thinking Arsenal, Tottenham and liverpool to be exact.

Yep..i think the way Greg used the Megaphone well. I wonder if it would help connect SSL3 / 1 and the corner at the ethiad? Rarely do all 3 areas sing in unison. Can't believe I'm suggesting this, as always been ipposed to such things. Just asked my mates opinion of the Megaphone and his 1st words were 'don't you think it's embarrassing'. I've held a similar view, but was definitely a convert last night

The positive comments are good and welcomed. Wasn't expecting them. I thought we'd get the usual, who was the c*nt with the megaphone. If he was stood next to me I'd shove it up this arse. Blah, blah, blah. Well done Greg.
I'd like to see someone try to do that to Greg!

Anyway, good to see some positive feedback. Not a huge fan of megaphones myself but at places like PSG away where their ultras are wired up to the fucking stadium tannoy, no fanbase is getting near outsinging them by conventional means.

I think it'd be embarrassing if you had some knobhead at the front of the stand, stood on a seat, not watching the game, dictating every chant, then yes it's embarrassing.

However simply having a megaphone within the stand to help chants spread throughout the rest of the stand could be really useful for us.

I'm not fully convinced yet myself, but nobody can argue the impact it had yesterday

is Greg part of the 1894 group? Regardless well done on the idea! Different to silly drums going off all the time.

I read somewhere PSG pump their chants via a speaker to all areas, is that true? Never been in their ground
Yes, he is part of 1894. He, and his fellow Polish Blues are absolutely brilliant atmosphere-wise. The make one hell of a racket home and away.

You're correct about PSG. They have a tannoy system and about 15 drums. Our logic last night was we can either accept that we won't compete with them at all, or try something different to make a dent. I think it helped a little, but overall, we were never going to outsing the home end.

Ahh nice! Well he deserves a pat on the back, hopefully this is something planned to use at Home Games.

So the atmopshere TNT were getting a hard on last night was manipulated.

I don’t think it really done anything last night, I was in bottom tier and knew there was going to be one up above but the atmosphere was much of the same in these sorts of games. Small snippets of atmosphere around goals etc but on the whole no chance of outdoing their lot. After our two the second half was dead.

I’m against them in general anyway to be quite honest, anywhere in the league or cup I think it just has the adverse effect.

Personally speaking I know if that was for a home league game for example and a song in the South stand is started with a megaphone I would not join in with it.
