Atmosphere 2024/25

I don’t think it really done anything last night, I was in bottom tier and knew there was going to be one up above but the atmosphere was much of the same in these sorts of games. Small snippets of atmosphere around goals etc but on the whole no chance of outdoing their lot. After our two the second half was dead.

I’m against them in general anyway to be quite honest, anywhere in the league or cup I think it just has the adverse effect.

Personally speaking I know if that was for a home league game for example and a song in the South stand is started with a megaphone I would not join in with it.
That's the spirit!

I just see it as artificial nonsense, don’t think it has a place in British football. Songs should start naturally.
Songs were getting started off naturally, the Megaphone was just helping them spread around the away end. At no point was the Megaphone getting the chants started.

its showing a lot that it does have its place in the game, english or british in general.

I think the other posters were suggesting it aided in helping the songs carry over

I disagree on both parts but that’s what discussions are for, to hear both sides of the fence.

Whilst still against it I think in a game like yesterday it’s different to anything domestically.

From what I could hear in the bottom tier when it was being used songs definitely being started with the mic.

If it had a place in English football it would already be a part of it.

It’s better than a drum I’ll give it that, their section to the left of us last night with the drum was just banging it aimlessly with no actual singing with it. Was just used to make a constant noise.

Would it be possible to trial a megaphone for the brugge game?

Possibly get Greg on it?
I know he's in either 119 or 120 I always hear him from 118 [emoji108][emoji108]

The positive comments are good and welcomed. Wasn't expecting them. I thought we'd get the usual, who was the c*nt with the megaphone. If he was stood next to me I'd shove it up this arse. Blah, blah, blah. Well done Greg.
Don’t mind a megaphone, just can’t abide drums at the footy.

I always remember BITD on the Kippax someone used to bring a fog horn. Pretty simple...de de de de de de de City! Used to get us kids going back then...
Mark Bittner in the very early days was a megaphone & foghorn.....

"Zigger Zagger Zigger Zagger
Oi O Oi ".

Is he still in Spain ??

Wwith tens of thousands of ticketless fans in town that night and the giant screen breaking down was always a disaster waiting to happen. Lived and worked in Blackpool at the time thousands of Rangers stayed there that week, no trouble with them at all.
