Thank fuck the fans pulled it out of the bag after that embarrassing cheese fest on the pitch before kick off.

City and the match day event team have sunk to a new low tonight.
How to ruin a moments respect for 2 City legends and Denis Law was disgraceful. The light show was bad enough but that was awful, just let the fans applaud you cunts. On the plus side the best home atmosphere of the season, even after going 1 down in the second minute

Genuinely worst away fan showing I remember for a few years. They didn't fancy it, and was I going mad or were they booing their own keeper ?

Listening to a couple of calls on a post match phone in on the way back it wouldn't surprise me if they were. One of them described him as the worst keeper in the Premier League. Genuinely struggling to argue with that to be fair though.

Exactly.

Who comes up with these ideas?

Who signs them off?

Adults moaning about the light show again, people need to realise it's not meant for you, it's for kids and tourists. it's not my cup of tea either but it causes no harm. When they played love will tear us apart on the annoy during that light show, loads joined in and created one of the loudest pre-match noises we've made in a very long time, it resulted in more noise than we would have got without one so what's the problem?

We were loud today, supported the team throughout, it gave a noticeable lift to the tempo on the pitch a few times which is thr most we can ever do.

Their fans were really, really poor. Chelsea fans aren't known for being great but they're usually alright when we play them and it's generally a big game which always creates noise. Not like they were getting battered either, winning for a lot of the first half and drawing for a decent time after that and still it felt like they were say a fulham losing 6-0 with the lack of noise from them.

Blue moon has been associated with city for many decades,
‘Blue Moon’ is a song about being lonely and then meeting someone and not being lonely anymore.

Even the song has got fuck all to do with the Moon, never mind our football club.

It’s a football match where 85% of those in attendance (at least) are adult men.

They got it spot on against the Rags.

Ah man that light show was really poor. All we need is the lights turning off, we don’t need all the cheese that goes with it.

Something that really fucking gets my goat is that stupid Moon gimmick.

MANCHESTER CITY FOOTBALL CLUB HAVE GOT FUCK ALL TO DO WITH THE MOON, WE ARE CITY FROM MANCHESTER ON THE ISLAND OF GREAT BRITAIN ON PLANET EARTH!
Strange man

Loved the pre-match light show and was expecting it to be the highlight of the evening 2 minutes into the game.

How wrong could I be, the team showed spirit and fight that I thought they had lost completely.

We deserved to win that game, and whilst nowhere near our best there were encouraging signs.

Well done to the team and the fans who were brilliant today.

It's very moving when the hustle and bustle and hum of a huge gathering of tens of thousands of people dies down and there is total silence for a minute in honour of a fallen great.

No amount of lasers and clapping and cheering and singing can match the poignancy of a minute's silence

Not quite the best of the season for me, united was better until the obvious.

What was the commotion with the Chelsea fans at the back of the 3rd tier? Heard from a mate there were punches and coins thrown and stewards nowhere to be seen.

One of them sat next to us in 102, up and celebrating when they scored, rapidly hoisted on his way by all, and for once Showsec were there quickly. Whatever he paid and from where (usually a SC holder there so I’m guessing the exchange/club) it was a lot for 3 minutes of football and a few slaps. And he dropped his hotdog……

They both do it to their own city n’all.

Celtic ripped out a load of seats in the South Stand in a pre-season friendly a few decades ago and lobbed a bit of broken brick at a little girl City fan’s head before the game.

Then spent almost the entire second half of our CL game with them at the Etihad singing bout the IRA.
Backward, inbred, bigots and gormless Rab C Nesbit lookalikes.

Most Scottish club fans are the same, but both the Glasgow arseholes plumb the sewers !!
