Atmosphere 2024/25

Unfortunately the long hoped atmospheric home end has long gone.

With a 400 room hotel attached to the stand, hotel balconies at the back of the stand, GA+ seats at the front of tier 2, etc, the new NSL2 is all about driving match day revenue, not about creating an atmosphere.
Imagine how much worse the atmosphere will be if that’s the case as well.

However we do have time to change this and make the club realise what we could have.

The only things that can be changed are the seating plans.

Getting rid of the GA+ seats at the front of the stand. Creating a proper singing section. Increasing the capacity of the 3000 safe standing seats. Etc.

I’d like our fans to push for more safe standing in the north stand. Currently it’s just the rows at the back, but if we had it right up until the back of the awful GA section that would be great

Why aren't we pushing for it?

It's our last chance to save our ground

We've known all of this since the start.

As fans we need to try and push through. The club have said if there's demand they'll increase the 3,000 safe standing seats at the back, it's up to us to show the demand is there

Today's experience/atmosphere UNDERSCORES why SSL3 must become an exclusive City end for ALL games.

It's where the best atmosphere/most noise will be generated from.

Cup tie away fans should get SSL1.

They may be visible on TV, however visibility doesn't make an atmosphere position and mass does.

No compromise to segregation, coach logistics etc, just simply the lowest, non atmospheric, level not the highest, under the acoustic roof.

Why do the club always make decisions that put our fans and team at a disadvantage ??

Absolutely bewildering !!

This needs to be made clear across the 1894 group socials etc.

Thought the atmosphere from our ends was poor today, the Plymouth fans were great.
It's never a good atmosphere from City fans when the away side has the entire SS3 For some reason SS1 doesn't sing much when the away fans aren't in the bottom tier .
For League games against the bigger sides and in the champions league last 16 onwards are usually better atmospheres when the away fans are spread over 3 tiers .
It's weird it shouldn't be like this when aside brings thousands of away fans in the fa cup or Carabao it should be a great atmosphere but it's often not cos of reasons I've stated

It doesn’t matter how many times you put forward this plan, they still won’t fit In SSL1, it’s half the size of L3

We only knew about the plans when the PA was submitted.

During the fan consultation, which was unanimous about having a proper atmospheric home end, we didn't know about the plans for the North stand.

Basically, the fan consultation by the club was a sham. They'd already decided what the North stand was going to be, even before the fan consultation.

It can be done.

I'm not going through it again.

It won't happen as the club are happy with the current set up.

They were up there with the best sets of fans who’ve ever been to the Etihad for a domestic Cup game, to be honest. What a lot of sets of fans struggle with up there for Cup games when they’ve got the full width of the tier is singing the same song at the same time, Plymouth didn’t struggle at all.

The entire set of away fans were bouncing as one at one point. Plus I usually find that ‘we’re left side we’re left side, we’re left side Argyle*… we’re right side, we’re right side…’ (*change as appropriate) chant dead cheesy, but they even made that work and chanted it for ages!

They even deserved to chat ‘football in a Library’ today because it was dead in the home ends.

They were helped by a very quiet Etihad today so we did make it easy for them, but credit to them.
Bell end chanting. That’s not supporting Argyle

No it can’t, but please enlighten me
No, I've been through my idea before with you, when you told Burton his idea can't be done.

You obviously didn't read what I posted?

I'm not going through it again.

I agree with Burton on the idea about relocating the away fans from SSL3 to L1. Moving the away fans from SSL2 as well, can't be done.

Surffice to say, blocks can be changed, seats can be reconfigured, the metal barriers that separate home and away fans on the SSL1 concourse can be moved/relocated, entrances can be redesignated home and away, the coach park can stay as it is.

At least all the new tourists in the hotel will give more excuses for longtime blues to not vocally support their team.

He said for cup games don’t give them all of L3, give them L1. L3 holds approx twice what L1 does. Explain how this can happen.
