Atmosphere 2024/25

Its Sat, 3pm. That is our regular support.
It was full of nobodies today. Didn’t recognise half the people around me. Loads of season ticket holders not there and replaced with a mix of moaning cunts who tutted and groaned everything that wasn’t perfect and loads who were at their first football game.

I was too loud for the tourist next to me today who had one finger in his right ear every time I shouted or sung, and he fucked off at half time.

Expectations need to massively drop… we aren’t a top side anymore. If people only create an atmosphere when we’re a top side, we’ll never have one again because us being a top side is over for now.
Harsh.
We're only about 9 players away from been a top side

we’ve seen much worse and created much better atmosphere than we’ve had this season
I get this argument but to disagree with myself. We are now paying top prices for what I would call sub par effort from certain players. As soon as the atmosphere was coming today a stupid fuck up would happen and kill it. Dias, garvidol etc.

Didn’t get out of gear that second half imo fans could of given a foot up but it also reflects on the pitch, part the issue is the teams belief has gone and the majority of the stadiums has.

It was terrible. Part of me blames the club, they’ve prioritised corporates, hospitality and non city fans, which has helped to turn the stadium into Disneyland.

I’ve honestly had enough of it. I keep hearing how Maine road was quiet at times. I’d take Maine road any day over what we have now. It doesn’t feel like I’m at a city match at times.

Very few of the regulars round where I am in 109. Plus there was a lack of energy on the pitch and that translated to a lack of energy in the crowd.
The seasoncard holders around me were there. City Matters suggests City have 37k seasoncard holders and that up to 15% seasoncard holders no-show. I think the match-day numbers would be less than usual for this game

There must be a lot of differences around the ground. Generally seasoncard holders always show up around me for s league game (305).

The fans groups demanding unlimited ticket transfers and ticket exchange listings ffs!‍♀️

Let’s get back to the old songs. City, we’re from Manchester”

The culmuination of the clubs ticketing policies over the last few years left a once loud and proud stadium when it was needed, West Ham Quarter final, Hamburg, Middlesbrough at home playing for a European league place, Newcastle to stay up, multiple derbies , completely silent when we were playing our main competition for a European place, the ground is dead!

Maybe but today was more about season card holders not being arsed.

Wait til Leicester on the Wednesday night.

If they can’t be arsed on a Saturday 3pm, god help us for this game.

Any non-seasoncard holders would have bought the cheap returned tickets in SS3 so there’s going to be nobody for seasoncard holders to offload the ticket to.

You’ll have the chance to buy off the exchange and lie down

Is anyone really surprised about today? It was fully expected. We have tonnes of fans who don’t even make the effort for a game against rivals. Even those who regularly make the effort are on occasion going to give up. Not surprising that it’s against someone like Brighton when we’re not playing well, even if we did need the points. All in all, a pretty depressing match.

Nothing that wasn't expected today. We play frustrating, slow, ponderous football and have as many defeats this season as Everton, there's nothing happening on the pitch to generate any emotion, the stands match what we see on the pitch.
