A few seasons before they put those new boards in, the club put in 3 rows of seats at the front of the stands. These were effectively below pitch level and they charged a lower price for them. The vast majority of the seats lost to these boards were those seats.

I sat in them once as someone at the club sorted my a freebie and that's where the friends of friends freebies went and they were a terrible, terrible view.

Ok, there's still and big split between United fans, the Glazers, and now Scruffy Jim. Especially the Glazers.

United canvased and worked with their fan groups on the Stratford End in the new stadium design.

City canvassed us, we told the Directors exactly what we wanted the new North stand to be, a proper atmospheric home end, the club said they had listened to the fans and would take that onboard, but all along and behind the scenes the Directors had already made their minds up and decided what the new North stand was going to be, and submitted the planning application.

Reading the posts along with my own opinion we all seem to be in the same boat about how we feel about the atmosphere and the what the club are doing...

To be honest, More than anything it's actually a sad state of affairs and upsetting somewhat that this is what is has come down to for fans, So many of us out of touch with something we loved so much.

I know success comes with the territory, I get all that, But it doesn't get away from the fact that the club are doing nothing other than pushing away the supporters that have been around for so many years.

Most front seats are terrible.

But the strange thing is, even though seats further up are empty, take West Ham at home, where there are 1000's of empty seats all over the ground, people don't move higher up to an empty seat for a better view.

Now that you mention Junior Blues, We went to the Kidzone yesterday, It's normally absolutely packed.

Nowhere near it yesterday, Then again, They've the same stuff in it every week maybe kids are getting pissed off with the same activities in it every week, They could do with implementing new games for kids.

It has been the long-term plan all along to drive match day revenue, to catch up with the other big PL clubs by stopping season ticket sales, increasing match day ticket prices, and pricing out local Legacy fans, amongst other devious tactics.

100% that's what is all boils down to and if anything it's only going to get worse.

Myself along with many others are obviously over the moon with the success we've had over the years, I don't care what anybody else thinks about how I feel about it, But I'd swap all of those trophies to have my club back.

Yesterday was the most depressing day I had at City possibly ever, Only for I've a daughter that's absolutely City mad I'd really be considering knocking it on the head.

I want her to experience what I did in terms of a family club, good atmospheres and good relationships with the people who you attend games with at City games and that can be in whatever division, Unfortunately she won't get that experience.

Instead she'll have the whole "Matchday Experience" shoved down her throat by the club which is absolutely shite, That other stupid **** Natalie Pike every week talking fucking bollocks making a "massive announcement" yesterday that the "team bus is on its way" Big countdown to it...Even my daughter who is 11 was laughing at it saying "Why is she acting like that its only the players arriving on the bus".

I could go on all day about numerous things. It's absolutely shite.

I don't get the 'chatting' to celebrates etc, it's just a fucking noise can't understand a fucking word. It's to loud, echos and as much as I like Natalie Pike her voice over the PA is like nails down a chalkboard

Glad I'm not the only one, I can never understand anything that they are saying, The PA systems are incredibly loud. Natalie must talk for a good 4 hours before kick off...That's too much, I can't even listen to the missus for ten minutes ffs never mind listen to someone else talking for four hours, Her voice would give you a pain in the head.

I give it until the end of the decade where there will be a separatist section of the fanbase emerging demanding ownership change or a move to an FC United style movement.

The club won't change going forward. Expect by 2035/40 for us to be one of the most tourist based clubs in Europe.

The club view 20,000 foreign fans paying £75 a ticket and potentially purchasing tourist money traps as much more favourable than relying on 60,000 locals paying £25 and not bothering too much with the tourist money grabs that will be on offer.

Sadly all the ingredients for a tourist meltdown and a fan revolt are there. We have a core fanbase that are not getting any younger. We have people who should be the next legacy fanbase either priced out, going to non-league, too busy watching a YouTuber talk about football in his pyjamas to even bother going to the match, or desperate to go and unable to get tickets next to friends and family because of the fan-unfriendly way they are sold. We have a concert hall next door, an airport on our doorstep and a city council which sees hotels and events as the golden goose. We also have universities who see the Far East as a massive cash cow. I take everyone as they come but yesterday I didn’t know if I was at a K-Pop concert or a shopping mall in Dubai. This isn’t about what you look like or where you come from, the only colour that matters to me is blue. It’s about behaviour, it’s about craic and it’s and about whether genuine fans can get a look in when you have entire rows blocked out for people who seem to see supporting City as some kind of viral insta-trend. Take this - tickets for plentiful for Argyle but I couldn’t get any for the row in front of me. But when matchday came there were five empty seats in front me. Clearly they had been blocked out for hospitality (CB1) and not sold!

We parked up Stadium Drive I thought there was a huge fight going on. Than I realised it was Natalie Pike and Co and the statium lol

Hopefully everyone's spirits will pick up if we get cleared of 115. Of course, the ticketing and tourist stuff will still remain a sore point, but at least the match going mood will be better....well maybe not:)

Weren't the first 3 rows removed ?

They dug down in front of row A and created rows 1-3 as 'restricted view'...which created the slopes on the edge of the pitch, remember Silva having to run uphill for corners?

But, due to UEFA advertising board size rules the rows wouldn't be used on CL match nights.

So the club, put in new advertising boards to the correct space and we lost rows 1 and 2 seats.

Not long after, the double boards were installed on camera facing sides.

Row 3 is still cheaper than row A behind it (for now - the gaps narrowing).

I'm row A in 115 and the view is fine as I have never used the seat.

What evidence do you have that this is club policy?

We have a (relatively) old fan base, and as you get older you're less inclined to tolerate hassle/change.

You also tend to be more 'How much?' when it comes to prices, whether you're well off or not.

City seems to be heading towards a more sanitised, less free-and-easy experience. You end up asking, is it worth it?

Even in these inflationary days, £61 can buy you a fair bit of entertainment. Given that neither of us drinks much anymore, it would buy my missus and me a meal out together. Better value, if I am being honest, and my missus gets something out of it as well as me. (Other options are available, there's all sorts of stuff you can do for that money, and you don't have to buy a membership or travel on crowded, shite Metrolink, or guard every word you say in case some Scouser cries.)
