If the players analysed the support in the same way we do with them, it would be an interesting listen.

"Fucking sick of sideways singing, with no end product...bores the shit out of me"

"Where's the tempo? The songs are all over the place...and that fucking Dzeko song. What the fuck?"

"It's like a bunch of strangers singing. Kippax corner out of synch with 115, SS3's a trier and puts a shift in, but lacking in confidence...the family stand needs to be let go at the end of the season"

"No-ones showing for a song, no-ones picking up second verses, literally hiding from the songs"

"There's no leaders - no battlers. No-one to take the songs by the scruff of the neck. The only noise the Colin Bell Stand makes is slagging off our Rico"

"They're a bunch of soft cunts the lot of 'em, not fit to wear the reasonably priced shirt"

"Just no width, get the songs out to 106 and 120. The songs have been sussed out and there's no Song B...and don't even start me on set pieces"

"When the new stand comes into the squad they should just lump the songs to the Big Stand"

"Things should get better in The Tunnel Club now we've given them an orchestra"

"We need to clear out the tone-deaf FOC's and the tuneless Legacy Fans and freshen it up. To be fair, I've heard the club are already working on this"

"We can't keep blaming injuries. Granted, @M18CTID and @wearethesouthstand were great baritones, but we've not adapted. No new singers have stepped up"

"1894 out"

Another shot, me thinks.

Impatient, negative, toxic, moaning fucking twats all over our end of Wembley today.

The vast majority provided not one fucking ounce of encouragement or support, nobody even joined in with simple ‘come on City’ chants.

All most people did for the entire 100 minutes was moan about what players were doing wrong or weren’t doing right.

That’s the worst set of fans I’ve ever been around in our history. I’ll never moan about tourists ever again, I’d rather have some random **** who couldn’t point to the Etihad on a map than the fucking drips all over our end today.

WANKERS!

Yeah..

But apart from that?

That's such a depressing post mate.

City fans were boisterous as hell in the pubs, on Wembley way, in the concourse, in many ways more than most other finals. Bit when faced with that constant hum of noise from their end kind of gave up early in the game. Nothing was spreading.

Drum did my head in. Certainly not my cup of tea and no I wouldn't want us to replicate that. Loud yes, but monotonous.

Very good bravo

There’s no point having a “singing section” at the front of the bottom tier because all the sound drifts upwards to nowhere. Songs ad Wembley start in the upper tier but today there weren’t enough of that.
I defer to your superior knowledge of acoustics Dave but to play devils advocate weren’t the palace singers at the front of the bottom tier ?

108 was decent. Got loads of songs going despite the slow, sloth like, turgid football we had to endure.
Left home at 7.30am, back at 10.30pm. A fantastic 15 hour day out, meeting with family and friends, only tainted by the lacklustre performance on the pitch.
We never win at home and we never win away.
Great post

Just got home from leaving yesterday at 6.30.....back row directly behind the goal posts.

Fuck all singing going on but left with almost no voice for shouting.

At times I felt like I was just shouting at the telly....I was a one man band.

Too many fans put less effort in that the players in the pitch.

When you consider the difference to 2011 and the following years on our trips to Wembley, the contrast is pretty damning.

I didn’t think it was too bad yesterday (block 108). Palace fans were well organised and everything and it showed but being local and rare visitors to Wembley (compared to us) certainly helps fuel their support, it will be mainly regulars. Whereas our 30th trip (or whatever it is) will be weaker as the core support diminishes over time due to cost and distance.

Sadly the inevitability after their first-shot first-goal that we have seen too often really made our job that much harder. It’s not going to change until the squad can find itself again but THEY’VE lost belief and so have we.

It will return.

I'm really not sure why those who deemed to organise and label themselves a singing section literally stood arms folded in silence. Nowhere else was any better but at least they didn't label themselves in advanced the signing section absolutely pathetic yesterday.

Seemed to be a strange crowd. I was on the 1st tier near the corner flag but didn't seem to be our usual crowd.

I, possibly a little harshly and too rigorously, had a go at the guy stood next to me because he decided an fa cup final was an appropriate time to phone his wife and have a chat.
