Atmosphere Thread | 2025/26

When an away has the south stand upper to themselves it seems to make noise. like argyle did.

Splitting the actual singing fans either side of the away, top tier not being able to hear anyone beneath them that well, the design that dissapates sound and non singers diluting it further. If the ns can fix those you might have a winning idea. But trying to organise this fan base is like herding cats at times.

sadly will be no blue wall in that stand due to the club llowing the posh seats in an area they said it wouldn't happen
Yep.

All talk of acoustics, seating arrangements, standing areas etc are just red herrings. The elephant in the room is the ongoing replacement of proper City fans by casuals / tourists / neutrals and, frankly, the ageing of the proper fans who still attend.

Just catching up and yep, the mailer isn’t totally clear regarding the survey. Clicking on the link itself gives a far wider overview with regards the survey.
No worries mate.

Feel feee to ignore, but it might be worth pushing the survey separately, so you get as many responses as possible

The club should be doing a survey to season ticket holders really.

Spot on @Cheadle HulmeBlue, the club should be carrying out a survey of all the fans who attend games at the stadium to see what they want to do with the North Stand, not crazy ideas like they are at the moment

100%. The club keep saying they will expand the safe standing in the north stand if the demand is there, but how on earth will they know that, without finding out from the fans?

Surely a fan survey to all season ticket holders will give them that knowledge.

The 1894 group have the right idea, but they need as many people as possible completing the survey

Certainly felt a little bit subdued at forest today, although that's the early kick off for you, they were the exact same. Obviously it was good when we went 2-1 up though.

Really strange away end, with many different chants going at once. A few blokes at the back singing their hearts out, however due to the concrete overhang these chants weren't spreading further than about 5 rows.

Basically the exact same as South Stand Lower.
I was one of those at the back and my head was throbbing with all the singing. New Reijnders chant is a banger.

It felt like it was better than others have said but like you say the low overhang gave that impression I suppose. However, a mate at home said it sounded mint on TV. I also met @gordondaviesmoustache before and after the match. He was in the home end and said the away end came across great.

It’s bizarre that the club haven’t done this. They can reach every season ticket holder and member whereas 1894 can’t.

What is the new Reijnders chant?

Good to see you pal. And yes, the City fans were great yesterday, although not quite as loud as in 2024 when I was sat in the same seats!

Have the club not moved that GA+ section to the back of NSL0 instead?

The posh section was going to be on the front rows of what is already existing seats at the front of the second tier in the North Stand, but those existing fans in that area have not been told that they have to move. Instead those at the back of NSL0 have.

Maybe but it gets 25k belting it out at the start of every home game. That probably surpasses us in terms of singing numbers for everything except Blue Moon at the start and a few minutes of goal celebrations.
Also I noticed they were all in their seats to sing it again at the start of the second half...this is something we could to encourage people back to their seats if the club played blue moon again?
