Atmosphere Thread | 2025/26

I’m struggling to comprehend how Pride In Wumming thinks you of all people want it to fail mate. After all, you’re one of the most active participants in the North Stand construction thread, and have given up hours and hours of your spare time taking photos of the ongoing development.

Yep, definitely the behaviour of someone who wants it to fail ;)
He's hardly positive though

I'm not getting into debate about if it should or shouldn't happen, however the armistice day silence will curtail any pre match build up of atmosphere today I expect.

People who complain about 1894 don’t know what displays are planned, and the time and effort it takes to get the displays organised.

They also don’t know that 1894 work ‘in conjunction the club’ on different displays.

1894 and the club do their own displays, or 1894 and the club liaise on diplays.

I don't think anyone has any issue with the displays, it's the lack of ability to get their members making any noise that seems odd, granted 1894 are not the only fans in the ground and it's everyone's responsibility however as an organised fan group you would expect better from things such as the singing section at Wembley or their congregation in the south stand, displays are great but are then generally followed up with 90 of silence with maybe one round of the zabaleta song randomly .

You can’t force people to sing. If 1894 tried that they would end up like the Ultras, and 1894 would get slaughtered for doing that. You only have to read the comments about the Dortmund Ultras on this thread, robotic, boring, choreographed, etc. 1894 have trialed a megaphone and a drum perviously and got absolutely slaughtered for doing that. 1894 can’t win. If 1894 organise a singing section on a different tier, or in a different block, then it’s up to the people who want to be in that different singing section to sing. If they don’t want to sing, why move there in the 1st place?

That goes back to one of my points about the new NSL2. Yes, the club has done it’s bit and installed 3000 safe standing seats at the back of NSL2, but that in itself won’t guarantee and generate a continual support and atmosphere on a match day. You only have to look at SSL1 with 6000 safe standing seats as an example and proof of that. Hopefully the atmosphere will be great today. I’m sure it will be. It always is against the top teams as a rule. For your Bournemouth games, etc, it’s dreadful, even with 7000-8000 safe standing seats on SSL1, and in blocks 111, 110 and 109.

People still complain about the lack of support at Wembley. Yet on the other side of the Wembley the very thing they hate, the Palace Ultras, sang non stop and got the other Palace fans joining in with them for most of the game. Yes, it helps when your team is winning in a final. I knew what was coming because the Palace fans did the same thing against the Villa fans in the semi-final and absolutely slaughtered the Villa fans. I knew we were up against it, and we had to be at our best to compete against the Palace fans. It didn’t help being 1 goal down, and City missing a penalty, if we need excuses?

Today the fans have a great opportunity to get behind the team. Hopefully we will sing and support the team throughout the match?

They do a great job, looking forward what today's is.

I hope NSL2 and the 3000 safe standing seats do work, and they do create an atmosphere.

I hope when the club finally releases the details of season ticket and match day ticket prices for NSL2, somewhere in that announcement will be affordable prices for a dedicated singing section/block/blocks, and a youth block? Within those 3000 safe standing seats there has be a provision for that?

Please Please PLEASE stay till the very end, especially if we are winning today .... because if we do get 3pts the players will deserve a standing ovation, in a game that could put us right back in the mix.

Sing your hearts out for the Mighty Blues.
I think your desire may be impacted by the shite rail system, myself for example if I don't make the 18.49 buxton train I and 3 school age children will be stuck at piccadilly for 2 hours until the 20.49 and get home at god knows what time. I'm sure the Sunday service will impact many others the same way.
