I was mostly basing that comment on what I was told by a LFC fan who said it felt intimidating at the Etihad for them because they had noisy City fans on both sides of them. But of course these days the Liverpool match is usually noisier than the United game so is not the best example to use.

Yeah I'm sure it's intimidating at times definitely in that bottom tier away end. Saying that, I doubt any Leeds fans felt intimidated down there yesterday!

Well this just got spicy. Real muddy waters on what has actually gone on here so hard to really hold an opinion until the truth comes out.

Someone isn't being truthful here though, and if it's the club then there's going to be a big stink kicked up and rightly so.

I had four Leeds fans in front of me yesterday. Which didn't help with my negative feelings towards the game.

So many are lazy though. I see them with my own eyes. They’re all around me. Lads, women of all ages, not just those who’re getting older. I’m not talking plastics here. Regular fans who can’t be arsed. Others try to start songs and they don’t join in. There’s literally no excuse IMO. It’s down to the majority of fans in that stadium.

I agree 100% about enabling groups of younger Blues to sit together though.

I get what you’re saying, but the atmosphere was pretty crap before all the success as well. At least since we moved to the etihad

We have the odd season or 6 or 7 league games a season where we are excellent

Bought a membership for my 5 year old grandson 3 weeks ago and tried to buy ticket which is empty next to me in CB 3 for game but wouldn’t let me as he had not attended enough games? How is he Suppose to if they won’t sell ticket? Trying again for next match . Was occupied by a Leeds fan who had a Leeds mate 2 rows in front. Unusually for Leeds he was ok we chatted and he quiet

I dunno. I remember it being a lot better but maybe that’s because I was a lot younger and joined in a lot more. I’m in 009 next to the away fans and yesterday was just an odd atmosphere. The first two goals were greeted with a muted “celebration” It was just odd. Obviously everyone went mad for the winner which made everything worth while

County is much cheaper and they have a ground big enough for everyone who wants a ticket.

Exactly. Young kids can’t afford £35 for the membership of being given the opportunity to buy a ticket for £30, £40. So they go to somewhere more affordable and have a laugh with their mates on a Saturday afternoon.
Hence a generation of future fans lost. Same at Utd as well.

Its absolutely crap, im actually having trouble enjoying home matches atm. I sit in South Stand 3 towards the back where its probably the best atmosphere in the stadium but its still not great. I fancied a change for Leverkuson so I moved to level 1 Colin Bell and I honestly wanted to leave after 20 minutes it was that bad. Not only was the atmosphere rubbish but the people around me asking questions like.. Are you a City supporter? Is Foden playing? Also had a foreign Liverpool supporter sat next to us! What is going on at this club.

Apart from the hundreds of half and half scarfs in North stand Level 0 so guy even wandered through stewards and through turnstiles wearing a Celtic scarf.

It was reported on here yesterday by a regular in that block that of the 3 involved 1 was a Yorkshire city season ticket holder and the other 2 were his Leeds supporting friends he had brought to the game. Now if it's the season ticket holder who ended up giving another blue a pasting then technically city's response is correct , however it doesn't take away the fact it was allowing the away fans in the area that caused the problem. The club are hiding behind semantics to avoid accountability which is a cunts trick but will probably mean it all gets swept under the carpet.

This was the problem I had but if you’re a season card holder or matchday member you can just buy a junior ticket, don’t assign it to anyone and they will send you an email with a link to download. Doesn’t make any sense I agree but it works and is legit

Must in a minority, didnt think it was really that bad yesterday. Experienced worse. I dont know why anyone would want to spend the amount it costs to attend a game and not get involved in chanting /singing/shouting thats the best part, even if the game is shit. Some people are shy, they need someone to take the lead. Fait enough. Once a few do that Its easy though imo, forget about empty seats, tourists, away fans, other grounds, bad performance, the weather, The acoustics etc etc. Hey jude> kick off - Blue moon>come on city x 10 > best team in world X 10. nice and simple and should be enough get the quietest fan going and joining in, having a good time and set the tone for the rest of the game.
