Atmosphere Thread | 2025/26

!here lies the problem £21.50 for a 5 year old is an absolute disgrace should be no more than £5 they will have a parent with them paying full price .what we are doing is making City a Xmas and birthday destination for kids ,what we should be doing is, kids this is what we do at weekend for the next few years till you leave home then you can decide yourself.
At present it fine whilst we are successful but football goes in cycles .
What's the point in making the Exeter game £1 getting the kid interested then making it extortionate for the next game so the kid dosnt come again till it's birthday ?

Both my son and daughter were still getting in for free upto about age 7 or 8 due to their size and height so quite fortunate.

should be discounted tickets for someone bringing kids and its a family of 3/4/5.

I know we give ourselves a hard time, but the Bernabeu really is Soulless.

Thought our fans were decent yesterday, felt like there were way more blues there than in February
Doesn’t surprise me if that was the case. It felt like none of the players wanted to be in the Play-Off round last year (three of our players had been in interviews with the press in the months before talking about too much football), loads of the fans couldn’t justify the extra price that a round that never existed before brought and we’d been shit for three months so were almost dreading the game.

Last night was at least a genuine League Phase game, and eveyone has a more positive feeling this season (players and fans).

Not at our best today.

Probably down to a very early start and a long day traveling.

We were pretty quiet in the 1st half.

We were much better in the 2nd half after the goals.

Which is what we’re normally like throughout the away matches.

I’m not criticising the fans who went as they made a great effort travelling today.

I’m glad City got a win for our travelling support, and for our TV armchair support today.

I’d disagree, and say it went with the game

The first half wasn't great apart from the 1st 10 mins. 2nd half was much much better, really enjoyed it. Overall very decent for a Sunday 2pm.

Side note, there seemed to be an awful lot of people who clearly didn't know they were in an away end today. Maybe because it went to low points there was a crowd of people who don't usually go to away games.

As for Palace, well we all know that according to X they have the best home atmosphere by miles. Absolute silence, like every year we go there.

Agreed. They were quiet. It's fear.

I'm surprised people are saying we were quiet. I thought we sounded excellent on the TV and sang the songbook.
Thought that they were loud and proud throughout the game with obvious lulls during certain gameplay.

May have been down to the stream that people watched it on, but those that know best will just be about getting home. I’m sure they will confirm the atmosphere on their away day.

Away end was okay alot of younger people which is a positive but I must say singing about yaya, zaba etc is tedious and the amiorm song was fun when they were 17th not when they're 7th.
Please sing about cherki, foden, etc
I noticed this too yesterday.

I don't mind singing the yaya kolo chant in the 88th minute when we're 5-0 up, but yesterday we were singing it in the 13th minute!

I thought our fans were very good..Palace just seemed to bang a drum and that was it.
Our away following are always very good..they deserve credit.
Which very few of the arm chair fans do. (give them credit that is)
I often wonder how many away games they have been to, most probably none.
I'm not there so I will never criticise them even if the sang Old Mcdonald Had a Farm. It can be very hard to get a chant or song going when you might be spilt up and have 6 Barcelona fans an 10 Norwegians next to you.

Full credit to all Blues who put the miles in. Let them sing what they want without criticism, it's support for our team.

We even had the Benjani song yesterday, (which like many others is brilliant at 5-0, or on the concourse pre-match) but the Amorim song just reinforces the rag myth that we're obsessed with United.

However apart from a brief HAALAND HAALAND and NUNES NUNES, It took 71 minutes before we actually sang about one of the players on the pitch

As for the prehistoric stadium and our overrated hosts, there was a classic comedic moment during the delay before Haaland's penalty, when a few Palace fans were trying desperately to get a reaction by miming the action of lifting the FA Cup Trophy

Rather than reacting aggressively the City end just joined-in
