Atmosphere Thread | 2025/26

Because basically the cunts that fucked off early at 2.2 in about the 84th minute are NOT City fans...end off...it's just a day/night out...They're not arsed if we win or lose......... unfortunately that's City's plastic fanbase.....now let's compare it to teams likes of the rags and the dippers....they ain't from Manchester or Liverpool but to be fair they actually CARE about their club.....

To be fair to City it will take a lot longer than 17 years or so to replicate what the others(rags/dippers) have got........

Fuck right off with that shit.

It's only 3-1, its only 3-1.

There might have been nothing from the singing section, but there was also nothing from 3/4’s of the Etihad as well.10,000’s of City fans sat in silence. All the singing or the majority of the singing doesn’t always have to come from 6000 City fans on SSL1. There are another 43,000 City fans inside the Etihad. Whereas at Leeds fans standing and sitting in all 4 of their stands joined in with the singing throughout the match. The constant blaming of the singing section and SSL1 in particular throughout the season had become predictable, tedious and boring. Look at the other 3 stands for a change, bar blocks 111, 110, and 109, who do try and get songs going as well during games.

South stand level 3 wouldn't know level 1 was there and vica versa

Just speed watching it on tnt, yet again I assume we had no fans there, in none of their goals did they show our end, I assume the policy is to pretend to the red **** fans that we don’t exist, that we are indeed not really here

Edit thank you Laura Woods for actually praising us, your days are fucking numbered with tnt though

What you say is correct. The other stands do need to do their bit.

But they need to be lead by our fans group who are focused on atmosphere and the section of the ground literally labelled the "singing section".

Again, though, they may be doing their bit but it's really really difficult to hear this from other parts of the stadium because the noise goes nowhere.

Which is why the 1894 group should try to work with the club around the new North Stand and not completely dismiss it due to other reasons, which has happened so far.

I appreciate the displays and the focus on those, but displays don't make noise and atmosphere and that is what is really missing at the moment.

Lets use the example of last seasons cup final. Total focus was on the display and flag waving when it should have been about 90 minutes of constant noise.

Sore head and no voice this morning + Mrs EMB has just asked why I've spent the whole morning whistling to the tune of just the way you are!

Fantastic away support as always, well done everyone.

5,000 blues of all ages, plenty of youngsters, lots of groups of teenagers and young adults, as well as the old guard all having one big sing song.

The future really could be bright for our support, it's just a question of whether City want it.

Exactly my thoughts as well pal.
Watching some of the young guys,/teenagers near me just reminded me what I was like 50 years ago
Minus the smart phones and vapes in the old days obviously.

Great away end again, following up from last week at Leeds. Still not home yet after being on the world's slowest ever train, from Newcastle to York. Standing room only. Next train probably the same. At least my hangover has worn off.

What was that song we were singing for the Last 10 minutes and whilst walking down the steps after the Final Whistle?

I stopped being trendy around 1983, so even after 30+ consecutive renditions I couldn't decipher either the tune or the lyrics

I asked around and I wasn't the only one who didn't have a clue

My first away match for 2.5 years (previous one was also at Newcastle in the Carabao Cup).
Lots of teenagers and 20+ years lads with their pals singing and chanting both in the concourse and then in the stands.
There were a couple of new songs that I hadn't heard before, can someone please put the lyrics to the City version of "Amarillo", as I couldn't just get all the words .
,(Although I did enjoy chanting along with the repetitive verse).
