Hes right, we are top 3 in PL away from home (West Ham game apart)
I must admit, I do think we had dropped off a bit away from home this season and hadn’t been up to our usual standards for noise, until Newcastle away in both the Cup games and Leeds away in recent months where we have been back to our best.

Usually, I’d go with: us, the Rags, Newcastle, Leeds and in recent years a much improved Everton (who always had the numbers but I never rated for noise until recently) are the consistently noisiest away fans.

Need to keep up our standards from Newcastle and Leeds away for the rest of the season.

In fairness to the Trafford Tramps, their variety of songs (some are very old, as well) is also impressive.
But cannot remember Leeds or Everton having a broad range of chants/songs ?

Utd is a weird one , they have been poor at the Etihad for the past 3 seasons , but whenever I've watched them on TV their away support has been good. And their home support is getting better.
Liverpools away support has been shit for a while, we will see in under 2 weeks if they will improve with7000 there

And Anfield was a great one as well

Yeah they aren't as good as they used to be but good variety, we went Brentford and pulled out 15 to 20 songs

It really wasn't, apart from 85 minutes onwards.

This just shows how a couple of last minute goals can cloud people's judgement.

Spurs and West Ham were both terrible this season, but I guarantee you if we'd got 95th minute winners in either game people would've been saying they were great.

Never really understood the hype about Everton's away support, they're about as average as it gets imo.

I'd throw Sunderland into your list as well, I think them and Leeds have been the loudest at the Etihad this season

Totally agree. Everton have always had the numbers but one of the quietest fan bases I know. They sporadically sing Everton, Everton and have just bolstered their song book with another one called Spirit of the Blues but they are consistently bad.
They are also having the same issues at home now like us. Don't know any team moving from traditional old grounds having the atmosphere improved .

Liverpool was 100 x better than last year's shit show, got in so many arguments with people videoing game and Liverpool celebrating

Saw Everton in a 0 0 draw at Burnley, great support. Like " we hate Bill Shankley and we hate St John" and "grand old team". Find them louder and more original than Liverpool.

Not sure I agree with that in terms of noise. Everton don’t have the chants, but for pure noise - cheering, roaring the team on they are one of the loudest I’ve heard - particularly at that league cup semifinal a few years back (could have been the cup)

I didn’t go on Sunday.

When did that annoying track get introduced straight after the goals?

The FA and Wembley just want to make everything about a match at Wembley cheesey.

City score, everyone is going mad, and some dick in the control room presses a button and plays that hideous music straight after the goals.

I am always surprised how a fan base that sells out the away end every time we play them make zero noise throughout the match , this has always been my takeaway from games against Everton. Well supported but very quiet.

There were definitely less tourists there this year, but there wasn't much chanting at all. A few groups of lads tried to get things going, but nothing really caught on until the end.

Was very similar to spurs for the majority of the game.

You're testing my memory here, but looking back I'm not sure I even went to that cup semi final. 3-1 on the night was it?

I guess I'm just going off the past few seasons, but they spend large portions of the game in absolute silence and only really sing at the start of after a goal apart from the occasional "Everton, Everton, Everton".

I will agree with others on here though, that they've always been well supported and have always travelled in numbers.

As I say, for years Everton have had great numbers but were often quiet and, like you say, didn’t have many songs. They were also the last set of fans to continue sitting down at away games.

But in the last three years or so I think they’ve been class. They easily have by far the best limbs in the country when they score and they have found a new lease of life with their songbook.

Everton brought a massive firm over for that semifinal n’all.

Best limbs non City past few years were Aston Villa at Arsenal when they won 2 0
