Atmosphere Thread | 2025/26

We really need a chant where one end chants and the other end responds . Clubs like PSG and Basiktas are great examples .
Yes, that was a thing years ago. What ever happened to oggie oggie oggie

Im sure i remember the Leeds fans chanting

Yeboha
Ya bastard
Yeboha
Ya bastsrd

Basic, but effective

Wow, wow, this is what Pep is saying. Imagine if you had that noise coming from one stand as a MEGAPHONE for the stadium

The COOP LIVE has amazing acoustics, and so does the North Stand

Instead, we have 3 areas that reduce noise.

Imagine hearing that noise as the away team

100%

There's some great anthems that have come from this city. From Dirty Old Town to There's a kind of hush, to The air that i breath, to Im not in Love, to Champagne Supernova.... We could do more
Think Ewan macoll aways wanted it to be sung by city fans he was just ahead of his time and had to wait until we moved to the Etihad. Geographically the ground is next to the gas works wall and the old canal, plus all the old factories in the area. Smelled the spring on a smokey wind relates to clayton aniline or maybe a weed farm in someones loft on beswick estate. It also references the moon and cats are prowling upon their beat must be the kool cats.

I presume the siren from the docks line is to show that some kind of warning siren is sounded to let normal people know they've let the zombies out at the swamp.

I see the attendance was 60,332. Does anyone know if thats the capacity or can a few more be squeezed in? Thanks.
We still have to add the Skybar, the hospitality section, in the North Stand. We are also losing some seating at the front of the away section in the South stand 3rd tier. I think it is possible we might get crowds of 61k next season.

Happened very occasionally between SS1 and Kippax corner although it was more banter than an actual chant.

No idea if it still happens as I moved to 315 when level 3 opened and although I can see 009, 010, 011 I rarely hear them or SS1 these days.

When the stand is ‘completed’ the capacity will be 61,958
We have planning permission for 61,958. The planning permission also said we would add 7,910 seats. More recent comms from the club have referred to 'over 7,500 new seats' so I am not sure what the new capacity will be. There is also a difference between the capacity and what we can hold due to segregation.

True, although the ‘gross’ capacity is 61,958 we won’t know the match workable capacity just yet. Note we have also removed a few rows from the ‘away’ section 3rd tier for some bizarre reason.

I think we will lose a few hundred seats , at the test event i pre booked Row 38 seats 10 & 11 , when we got there the row started with seat 12 !

When we reported it to the steward he said its been happening in rows all evening

When his supervisor came over he said its also happening on the other side of the stand too
