Atmosphere yesterday

Take off your Supp. Number.. Maniac.

Excuses, Excuses, Excuses.

Many Blues (including myself) will sing regardless of kick off times, who we're playing and so on.

Irritates me saying this as I'm like a broken record but - Safe Standing. Cheaper Tickets, Easier to stand with Mates.

All will be factors in improving the Atmosphere at City.

Why?

It will encourage those once dedicated blues who refuse (or can't afford) to pay for tickets, who watch every match every weekend in the same Pubs.

Ticket Exchange System at mcfc.co.uk is desperately needed.
Doesn't take much resources for City to code their own.

Many Blues would rather leave their seat empty than use that piece of shit legal touting website ViaNoGo.

As much as the club try to brainwash, offering us free pies and forcing us to use that shit website, we won't use it.

I'd rather give my seat out for FREE, as many other blues did to me back when I couldn't afford a ticket.
The thing is about Safe Standing at the Etihad is that we cannot just have it in the two tiny areas we currently have standing now. It's around 1.5 people Safe Standing to every 1 in a seated area. I reckon we have around 2700-2900 fans in our two vocal sections combined, that would only amount to 4050-4350 if SS came in. It has to be a fucking great deal more than that!

You'd get over 9000 in the Boothen End at Stoke if SS came in everywhere, that's over double what we'd have in almost half the sized stadium. Never mind many other grounds much smaller than ours.

In Germany SS stands hold from 15-24000. Liverpool's Kop would become 18000.

I think one of the four biggest contributing factors for our lack of atmosphere is the minute size of our vocal areas. A whole rethink of the set-up of of stadium is needed in my opinion. I just don't see the club going for it.

Less PA is good for atmosphere. Not more.

And of course you're entitled to your opinion.

I however would much prefer to give it a go for a couple of games and see what happens. I can't say that I've ever felt that a PA system has gotten in the way of generating an 'atmosphere' however I can point to examples where those kinds of things have helped - but I'm happy to be PROVED wrong.

Too many people put too many 'perceived' roadblocks in the way of change and that's the problem with UEFA, FIFA and the FA - people are too worried about change if it doesn't fit how it would happen in their heads.

We're just clearing our throats. If we come away from Liverpool with anything then the next two homes games will be dynamite.

That Aston Villa game, in a few weeks, now that could be special.

Spot on.

If we win on Sunday the atmosphere will be superb. It will be a massive achievement, a major milestone on the way to the title.

If we beat Sunderland and WBA the overwhelming emotion will be relief. A banana skin avoided. Those types of games just don't generate atmosphere
