He may think that its a test of his mettle to rectify things? Perhaps he may steel himself to take the fight to the terrorists? I don't know enough about French politics but he may feel any likely successor would be floundering if this happened again?
 
An emotive subject, such terrible terrible news, people are understandably very upset by the news. RIP those innocents that have lost their lives, I just hope the death toll isnt as high as is being predicted.

Tonight is not a night for arguing or slagging others off, but for thinking about those that have lost their lives. Think on, pointing fingers and blaming people when we dont know all the facts is the wrong thing to do IMO.

Again RIP those that are no longer with us.

My position is to listen to the intelligence communities when they say Isis is using the immigrant fiasco to move cells into Europe. That would be the sensible position. I don't know if it's because it's late, but I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. I think he was responding to the allegations that they were refugees or immigrants, rather than suggesting it himself.

Regardless, calling him "scum" for a relatively innocuous, seemingly rational tweet seemed a bit extreme. Surely the terrorists perpetrating the attacks are the scum here, not an insignificant tool like Morgan.
 
Is it me are these fuckers building up to summat big??? First the Russian passenger plane, now a European capital....what/where next???

Stop fucking about, stop being mister reasonable, stop being liberal, these twats are threatening me and mine who have done nothing as individuals. Put the entire might of the SAS and the other special forces and bomb the fuckers out of existence and throw two fingers at the fairy story of God and his virgins and immortality. Enough is enough, most people understand that the Christian faith was just a set of rules to keep the masses in check through unlawful times lets end it here

Soft targets aplenty - weapons easily smuggled in across open European borders - very ethnically diverse so if the threat is foreign can hide easily in plain sight - high youth unemployment, poor prospects and housing in the suburbs - colonial past in Algeria - involvement in air attacks in Libya, Syria and so on - there's a few to go on with

I think everyone agrees that radical Islam is quite clearly a problem, and a major one at that. No one's competing to see who can be the most tolerant. Some people are just choosing to point out the idiocy, and futility, in generalising 1.5bn Muslims on the basis of the actions of a minority of terrorists.
