Attacks in Paris

If a moderator had evidence wouldn't that mean a ban? It might be prudent for yourself Or a moderator to provide this evidence and then ban said poster otherwise it looks like an act of someone struggling to form a cohesive argument, throwing unfounded accusations on people might derail a thread, there are rules on here I believe to try and avoid this.

I know apologising isn't always good for the ego but it is a nice trait to have
I'm not quite sure why you have questioned the moderating in the thread.
However I can honestly say that if I have made a mistake I generally apologise with or without snide digs

Never suggested there arent (other examples) the point I guess im saying by and large is the vast majority of recent terrorism is centred around one religion. They used to say not all irish are terrorists, but all the terrorists are ...?

The other question i suppose (rather than point) ive been posing which seems to have upset a certain poster is, are our muslim cousins doing enough to a) report incidences of radicalisation, and b) are the imams and community leaders doing enough to shepherd the those with militant views ripe for exploiting away from a path of terror. I have my own (obviously islamophobic) view on this but that is only because someone has yet to give me a cognitive argument that they are.

They have been doing, the problem is you have to dig a little and they are not all necessarily in the UK country.
Here is one from last August 2014 which will link you through to the sources. http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2014/08/muslims-condemn-isis.html
Another from an interview with Iyad Ameen Madani, http://theglobalobservatory.org/2014/09/counter-isis-multifaceted-approach-iyad-madani-oic/

She has no more an axe to grind than Reza Aslan.

You went for the textbook ad hominem to undermine her, the very kind she discussed in part of her speech.

I repeat: embarrassing.

If i see an axe grinder, grinding an axe, i will say so.
What your interpretation is, is up to you.
Funnily enough i find Sam Harris embarrassing and an intellectual lightweight but that is the way of the world.

I have recently noticed that a couple of moderators have accused posters including myself as either racist or possibly racist, It has happened to other posters as well, if there is any evidence of racism is should be dealt with, if we are discussing certain subjects that tend to get heated unfounded accusations based on guesswork are not very helpful, I presume this evidence you have isn't just guesswork based on someone who has an opposing view

Whether you are a moderator or a normal poster the rules apply

Just got in, shit day, flat tyre, had to walk in driving rain and wind for 4 miles, bank froze my card due to the scamming cunts robbing every fucker so could not get cash out until i called them, phone at home so i was fucked.

Then i get in and see some poor sods would give everything they had to have my problems because i am still alive. It certainly has given me context of my minor shitty day.
R.I.P the 27? dead in Mali

AFP reports that Hasna Aitboulahcen did not blow herself up using a suicide belt during the Saint-Denis raid, according to a police source.
Earlier in the day, police formally identified her as being among the dead, and confirmed that she was the cousin of Abdelhamid Abaaoud, who also died in the raid.
They also said that there were three dead people in the flat, meaning there is one as yet unidentified person.
The police source said that the suicide bomber was in fact a man, not a woman.

Thank you for your condescending lecture, I'm sure I shall heed your wise words over something you know very little.
You are unaware of who or what has been reported. You are also blissfully unaware of the lengthy discussions that take place behind the scenes and how reasoned actions are then taken.

You're returning theme over some years becomes tiresome so I'll his type it for you
Mods are cunts.
There, I bet you feel a lot better now.

They also confirmed today that two of the attackers last week had their fingerprints taken in Greece On Oct 3rd. The first two of many I would suspect. This open door policy will cost lives in the long run.

Ha ha the irony of the post is a joy to behold, those condescending lectures can be a nuisance, as the Coc says deflamatory remarks should be avoided and calling any poster a racist without any evidence most certainly falls into this bracket and has derailed a thread, most of us dont really care what gets thrown at us it's just amusing when mods do the very same thing they accuse others of

Back to the thread though

Watching question time last night it appears quite a few are in denial regarding Europes shambolic policy on immigration

Reports coming through that Islamic terrorists have stormed a top hotel in MALI, taken 170 people hostage.

Commandos have gone in and managed to save most of them but 27 dead at minute.

Before the US-Soviet War in Afghanistan, there was no such thing as Islamic Terrorism and groups like ISIS, Al Qaeda. That war in the 1980s completely changed the world we live in right now. I don't know if many people know much about politics here. When the Russians/Communists were fighting in Afghanistan, trying to protect their puppet government, USA's plan was to train the "Mujahideen" and their plan was to "indoctrinate" the people against the communists, using twisted terms from the Quran. This is where Bin Laden, who was an US agent, was sent to train the masses. Incidentally, this is when Al-Qaeda was formed and at the time, its primary objectives were to fight the Communists out. Well, eventually all this US help led to the Al-Qaeda becoming powerful and eventually they betrayed the Americans. They then spread their ideology throughout the Middle East, places like Iraq where ISIS was formed. They committed thousands of terrorist attacks on the world ever since then. ISIS were just part of the Al-Qaeda.

It's just unfortunate, that this war in Afghanistan still haunts people to this day. The amount of military spending done by the US and the West just so they could eradicate Al-Qaeda, is absolutely mindboggling. There's just times where you can pray time machines were around. I can't blame the Americans here though, they were just naive and they were thirsty to neutralise any Soviet influence at the time but it backfired immensely, to the point, world is indirectly suffering from this.

Anyone have any questions on this, feel free to ask.
