Attempted Ticket theft by Post Office??

Not questioning the honesty of the huge majority of staff - just making people aware

Years ago bought tickets for west brom away. Didnt arrive. Contacted the club and had to get to the hawthorns early for duplicates. Got in the ground and there were two local posties in our seats!!! They got there tickets out to show they were in the right seats and ours showed the same. Called down a steward and the posties got on their toes before he got there.

Cheeky b*****s, hope they got the .........sack !

I wonder what the chances are of our 16 tickets in one order turning up then!

They are currently in my possession and available to purchase at 3x the value.

I know where you live, I'll pop around with the other 15 ticket owners and ask for them back

That would be Royal Mail, not the Post Office.

Most of us are thoroughly honest people - we are CRB checked before we start the job.

However, just as in all walks of life, there are a few bad apples.

Two years ago, the tickets were sent out Recorded delivery, which meant they had to have a signature. Bradford City League Cup final tickets were sent out Special Delivery.

Maybe City should have done that, though it would have added to the cost, of course.

think it cost a fiver extra last time to do this

I'm pretty sure you're right, Jon.

The thing that annoyed me, though, was that it was per ticket. Surely, if there was more than one ticket going to the same address, they could all have been put in the same envelope and sent for only one additional fee.
