Attendances

Talking to someone about seat release in the construction work today - at some point this season we will get a crowd of above 48,000 - our record at the stadium. In just 8 months time we will be watching the mighty blues in front of 54,290 fans. Current estimates of capacity.

I can't wait!

Just out of interest I know in the late 60s early 70s 63,000 was common place for the derby matches and the 81 quarter final attracted a crowd of 52,000. So can any older blues remember the season the capacity dropped as surely when we hit 54k that we be our largest home attendance since that season.

It dropped because the scoreboard end, standing, became a seated end, reducing capacity
