Attendances

Good. It's about bloody time. It is our stadium. They just happen to come along once a year to visit. You don't have a mate come round and stay at your house once a year and give him your nice King Size bed in your nice bedroom, you shove him in the box room on the pull-out bed and he doesn't fucking moan about it as he's just a guest.

Away fans were given pride of place, bang in the prime camera spot, splitting our singing sections up, making it hard for us [the home team in our own stadium] to get an atmosphere going for 12 fucking years! It's about time that changed.

Like i never moan about away sections at other grounds - because i have no right to - they should shut up about our new away section set-up.

Bob on. One of the first things Martin O'Neill did when he took over Villa was to move the away fans from behind the goal to out of the way in that corner - away from the cameras and a less pleasant away experience.

Look at where the away allocation is at the swamp, Newcastle, etc - out of sight and out of the way.

Would be perfect. Even midweek games, Xmas games? Would shut alot of people up playing Sunderland on Boxing Day and declaring a sell-out.

Obviously some might not turn up but it's right direction

League games - I think we have a real chance. Watford is a low level game and looking like a full house.

Watford is 3pm Saturday though not mid week in February. Personally I don't think we'll sell out every single league game but we will sell out 10-12 and will easily average over 50,000. I'm pretty old school on this point. A stadium should cater for peak demand and not average demand. If it's full more than 4-5 times a season it's too small. Barcelona rarely fill the Nou Camp (on average it's about 80% full) yet they are looking to expand. In the 70s or 80s stadiums (including Old Trafford) were rarely full and nobody cared. We're clearly growing quickly and shouldn't let the stadium be a limiting factor. The 84,569 at Maine Road in 1934 still resonates to this day. Part of the mystic of Barcelona is that very occasionally they get,as near as damn it,100,000 fans.

1540 left for Watford as we speak - we were well above this with 1 week to go v Chelsea.

we would sell out every game & even have a waiting list if we discounted a percentage of the tickets for certain games
