German starting 11?

--------------Neuer
Lahm Friedrich Mertesacker Badstuber
------Schweinsteiger Khedira
---Mueller---- Oezil--------Podolski
--------------Klose

That's at least the players that will be in the starting 11, I put them into their most logical formation (imho).

Do you think it's a good team or not?

Cacau instead of Klose, Marin instead of Müller...but really there is no more choice than this

-- Sun Jun 13, 2010 5:45 pm --

What about the Leverkusen "new Ballack"?

I agree with Cacau (or even Kiessling), but not necessarily with Marin. Müller has been very good imho.

I suppose Klose is starting to lead the line with experience.

5 Bayern Munich players in that team though, cannot really go wrong with that. It's a pretty strong, but young and inexperienced team on paper. :)

And Boateng is definitely not in the starting 11, which does not surprise me, we need some experience in the team for this game.

if the australian defense is that slow, as said here, Marin would had been a good choice

-- Sun Jun 13, 2010 5:51 pm --

Özil is 21, Kroos only 20. So I guess: more experience :-)

no, because Özil is playing on a higher level at least for some more time than Kroos. Kroos could also play in Podolski´s place, but Podolski has some guarantee to play for germany till the end of his career
