Austria were superb , France had to dig in, defend and win ugly. That’s what international champions often do at times. Some demand free flowing attacking football don’t seem to understand this.

Would you accept there are games when the opposition plays well and rises to an occasion warranting a gritty display. As opposed to running out of ideas after 30 minutes and letting a team take control of a game.

Maybe France just aren't as good as they are made out to be? Certainly alot weaker than they have been for years, without Mbappe they'd be bang average....Giroud their starting striker?? It's like Crouch starting for us!

The same Giroud that is their all time top scorer and knocked us out of the last World Cup? He was also in the last two world cup finals and was one of the top scorers at the last World Cup and has delivered on the biggest stages and games more than Kane has.

But yeah, apart from that, it's like having Peter Crouch.

They certainly didn’t look as strong as France have looked in the past. Think most teams will have a chance against them.

No they didn't.France had more chances and thats how they play most of the time...possesion isn't evertthing in football.Fun thing is ,how Ragnick has made Austria press like they do ,but didnt see anything similar,when he was coaching Man United.

Probably says so much about the players at the rags than Ragnick.
