Yeah he showed a lot of passion down there in difficult circumstances - but he is still jumping ship like everyone else!
The real heroes are the ones who stick around and try and rescue the club from going under IMO.

He could have left 6 months ago, but he stayed and commited to the fight, they might have a 'fresh' start now, I'm sure the guy did all he could, very rare in modern times. All the best to him.

he's still jumping ship and paying lip service to the admittedly great fans.
if he had been sacked after a few months in charge we would all be saying "managers are not given a reasonable chance"
if he had any real love for the fans he would have stuck in there and helped gain them promotion.

Let's just be glad a man of his dignity and morals is staying in the Prem.
When you compare people like Avram Grant to that vile, nauseating pair of reptiles Baconface and Gollum, you realise how good for the English Premier League people like Grant are.

Spot on. There's enough sniping, hate filled arseholes in the EPL and we need someone with dignity like Grant to rise above it. Always comes across as a gentleman.

Yeah Avram Grant does seem to be a proper nice guy, always acts with great respect for everyone. In fact, I don't recall him ever publicly saying a bad word about anyone. As well as Hodgson and Mancini he is one of the few premier league managers I'd have a pint with. He is also a great manager, I wouldn't be surprised if West Ham finish in the top 10 this year although it depends how stupid the owners will be. Good luck in the new job Avram (but 6 points for City agaisnt West Ham next season) and good luck Pompey, sad to see them go this year and gutted they didnt win the FA cup.

Pompey a special and unique club with fans to boot? Neither special nor unique enough for him to stay in the dog-eat-dog world of the Championship. I fancy there's a better option just round the corner.

Most difficult decision? My arse!

I must be a right twat...........Cos I can't stand the fucker & I fucking hate Portsmouth...

What a load of sentimental drivel. He's spent the last few months peddling his 'love' of Pompey and as soon as the season finishes, he jumps ship.

I can never fully repay the faith and backing I got from the fans, players and staff who gave 100 per cent.
Yes you can. You could stay on and help the club get back up from the Championship if you love it so much.

It has been a great experience to be part of one of the most wonderful occurrences that has happened in the history of British football
What, going bust halfway through the season and leaving dozens of small businesses in the sh*t?

I couldn't give a toss about him and I am delighted at Portsmouth's decline, long may it continue..
