Away fans support the team

I bet the players can't wait to get away from Eastlands for the next 2 games. The fans at West Brom were fantastic not only supporting the team but the manager as well.

Roll on Fulham and Stoke as I know we will get behind the team.

Yesterday was embarrassing, we were behaving like spoilt children.

It appears that we all believe the press and media : with all that money spent we should expect to beat everyone and be top of the league.

I'm a realist, it takes time to be a successful team and football club. Please let's give it time.

I'm going to Stoke but can't afford Fulham as well but I will supporting my team and I know those of you who are lucky enough to be going will also.

Indeed! Not going to Fulham but going to Stoke and I'm gonna be 100% behind them!

Fans booing are just an embarrassment to most of us.
I don't think I have ever seen such a time wasting side as Birmingham and ref was poor no to stamp it out. Reminded me of watching England against one of these minor countries who were desperate for a 0-0.
On another day we would have smacked them 4-0 but just couldnt get that first goal.

first things first booing is totally unacceptable, once in the ground we should back the entire club in every way, debate on here by all means but nobody should ever boo our squad.

it could have been 4-0 but its not just this game, we have scored so few this season the trend is there throughout, we play not to lose.

We have Silva!!!
The problem is that he and 3 others were left to try and break down 9 men of Birmingham yesterday. As a TEAM we have to press further up the pitch and commit men into the box or we will never break anyone down. Your right though, every team has sussed us out now and we are very easy to play against at home.
And will we do that under RM?

Re: Away fans support the team

I've watched city for nearly 40 years and yes i did boo after the game was finished and I'll tell you why

We are playing some of the most boring football i have seen for years.

Mancini has created a team with a strong but really slow midfield, we are very slow attacking we have no creativity.

His tactics seem to be not to lose a game rather than go out and win it.

He plays Silva as a sort of second forward when he would be better playing a second forward dropping Silva back in to the proper midfield to play the Fabregras role.

Name me another team that play with two holding players that really play that role and just don't go forward.

Yesterday he said we needed more width to break them down - if that was the case then why did he not bring on someone like SWP earlier rather than wait until the 80th minute (Barry is no winger) when the whole crowd could see we didn't look like scoring.

I will continue to give my support but i pay my money to be entertained - why do you think the Emirates is still full every week when they haven't won anything in 5 years?

And there's the problem. We don't have the creativity in midfield to unlock a mass defence (someone like an Ali B or a Berkovic). And you can be sure that there will be plenty more teams coming to COMS with the same tactics as Brum. I certainly would if I was an opposing manager.

and if we did he would be played as a DM

When?

Not being argumentative here mate but when?

I see no signs of Bobby wanting to play that way. I have no problems with caution away from home and even against top quality sides at home we have to make sure we are solid but when you see a side like Birmingham play with 2 banks of 4 behind the ball for 90 mins you have to adapt your own tactics to break that down and Bobby didn't do that and never does.

Agreed

I said years ago that the biggest problem with our club are the supporters ! Wednesday night we were a disgrace and yesterday a bigger disgrace.

Booing and singing for feckin Bellamy is a disgrace. Did anybody see the mighty bellemy against swansea the other week! Awful !

Nobody was happy yesterday but look at the date and the table and ask yourself if your happy where we are this morning forgetting yesterday? Any city fan that says no hasn't supported them for long !

This is an easy response isn't it: 'you haven't supported us for very long!'

I said it yesterday, and I'll say it today, I didn't boo at the end (I did when tevez went off tho), and I was there when we were shit, I was there in div 2, there at wembly, and there today. People have the right to boo if they have paid money for that. Do you not understand the amount of money we have spent, and we seem to be going backwards at the moment. It is numbingly boring. Of course I am happy being 4th, but I don't know how we are; but its so annoying that utd lost points, but have we closed on them from a game we should win???

With our current form I don't see us beating fulham, and I'm not sure about Stoke either. I hope we will, and believe we can, but the way we set out I don't see it at present. It's so disappointing.

I don't remember us creating "numerous" chances. I remember Tevez having to try and create everything himself because no one else were getting in to good positions. Maybe you can remind me?

we did have chances, would'nt say numerous but chances, the thing is when we set up that way we tend the overplay our attacking play, shoot ffs, get attack mined from the off.

Re: Away fans support the team

I understand the away support against WBA was immense but this cant be said for every away game, Sunderland for example was worse than being at Home.

It depends on the mix and what has occurred before, the media had been on Mancinis back the week prior to WBA so as one we shown our support but in the last 2 home games we are expected to be more adventurous but this has not happened and fans are becoming frustrated.

Remember in these times of hardship for many we are spending our hard earned cash on going to the match while we see overpaid flops saunter around the pitch without really any get up and go.

Yes Mancini did make substitutions and always a little late for me to really change the game.

The players themselves should step up to the mark but I feel some are holding back to heap the pressure onto Mancini ( Player power can become a very powerful tool if they want rid of the Manager)

Everyone keeps saying we only have 1 fit striker but in reality we have had 2 all year Ade has been available, yes his form dipped but recently he got the bit between his teeth and started to play only to be dumped for Mario then insulted with the Cameo against rags, so in theory Mancini lost that player in his management of him and not Ade's attitude.

All parties are to blame, Mancini for style, Players for below par performances and us as one for not being vocal when needed because if we really got behind the team I am sure the 11 on the pitch would adapt there own style and throw off the shackles that may be put on them due to the encourament of the crowd.

i have tickets for fulham but in all honestly i dont think i'll be doing many more aways, its not worth the money, we are a shadow of the real manchester city ethic at the moment.
i was bored to tears yesterday and not for the first time, if i did'nt have a season i would not go to home games either, might do the biggies but not teams that we know we have no chance of breaking down with the system we play.
i left work early to watch that shite, how foolish was that.

I did look at Fulham but it's £49 a ticket and I think we're being overcharged.

Re: Away fans support the team

MAN CITYBIRMINGHAM
Possession
Man City 56% Birmingham 44%
Attempts on target
Man City 11 Birmingham 4
Attempts off target
Man City 10 Birmingham 2
Corners
Man City 6 Birmingham 4
Fouls
Man City 15 Birmingham

Looks like we couldnt finish

4th in the league and 2nd best defence and 1 half fit proper striker.

Yeah let's not bother anymore.

If you're wanting to give away your Fulham tickets let me know.

Ctid

i have already booked transport and staff cover or else i would'nt be going.
dont forget everytime i go and watch city i add at least 50 quid to the expense of the match as i need staff cover for my shop, poland cost me £120 extra so that week watching manchester city in total cost me £670, so i think i have the right to gripe about the absolute dross being served up at this time.dont get me wrong the away days are the best despite being expensive but i'm fucked if i'm wasting anymore time and money on that shower of shit.we lost in poznan ffs.

as for the 4th crap if we carry on the way we are we wont be there long, its only cos the division is crap we are still there now, people are catching us up as we speak, teams that have'nt spent 300m.

Hey I spend a small fortune too.

That said it doesn't guarantee anything.

I'm personally really pleased to see the quality of player I'm watching compared to the last 35 years I've witnessed. It's early days and I'm not giving up just yet. Those that booed yesterday already have and I'd rather that type of supporter stay at home.
That's not a dig at you. I respect anyones decision to spend/prioritise their money how they think fit.

Tevez three chances that glazed past the post, Adam Johnsons wasted chance when Silva was free, Milners double chance that was shot at the keeper then cleared off the line, and three good shootin opportunities from outside the box that all went flying over the bar!

More than enough to go one nil up. At one up we'd'v opened them up more and created even more!

Re: Away fans support the team

City fans have lost their humility. I remember walking away from the kippax as a 9 year old, we'd just been relegated from the prem, it was shit. Everyone seemed to be silent, then someone shouted "never mind boys, at least we get to go to Huddersfield next year." And everybody laughed. It seems the majority of you now expect nothing more than a win, in an arrogant rag like way. I call my dad and brother Munichs when they behave like this. Not to mock the death but in reference to their shit attitude. Sort it out blues, I'm starting to hate you.
