Away fans / tourists in home sections

Poznan was the best for away fans in our end.
German fans as well use to do it regularly as well.
They celebrated goals and saw no problem with it as it was a commen occurrence in their own league.
 
We had one in front of us in SS3. He was ok though and didn’t celebrate. Kept trying to engage us in conversation about how good the game was when we were 2-1 down! I suppose to them it was a good game. At that point I was watching Akanji, Dias and Walker doing the same thing over and over again so wasn’t really seeing it the same!

I've been more away stands than I have had hot dinners. I didn't hide it either but I wouldn't now as realise it's daft. Some of the foreign fans I sort of get but not English. A rag got jawed near me a few years ago because he jumped up and didn't sit in his hands. An Arsenal fan has sat next to me a few years ago and just talked football quietly so no issues with that.

Agree. If you’re either stupid enough or sensible enough depending on the match then you only really have yourself to blame if you get attacked.

It was much safer in the home ends in the 70s and 80s than the away sections. Went in the Stretford Paddock many times at Old Trafford. At Anfield the Kop was much safer than the Anfield Road end which was horrific in those days. Just had to keep your head down.

It just seems to be different now. I think social media and the media in general stir up shit which the brainless masses just suck it up.

It's not as easy as you made out.

I spent hours when tickets were released trying to get any game I could for my kids.

No go.

I think this is probably more people passing their tickets on to a mate.

There may well be a lot of truth in that, along with ticket selling sites, but regardless, it’s always happened & I don’t think there’s any solution to stop it
 
Been in home ends many times avoided grief at Wigan by saying I was a Fleetwood fan getting a new ground in. Saved a scouse couple on the Kippax at the FA cup quarter final by advising them to shut the f**k up and keep their heads down, sensibly they heeded my advice. Saved a Spurs fan sat in front of me in the Maine Stand back in the 90s by holding his shoulders down as he tried to rise to cheer there goal. Seen some Everton onions smacked senseless in the same seats a couple of weeks earlier. Moral of the story if your in the home stands keep your head down and gob shut.
 
I was in my local in East Ham and this Cockney girl came in wearing a dippers shirt when they were playing West Ham. They won like 3-0 or something and she was going mad. The locals gave her dogs abuse despite being female. The things they were saying!

One bloke was getting upset and I told him who I supported but that I’d never behave like her because it’s disrespectful. I don’t mind banter but she seriously offended people.

Totally Agree, be respectful and you should be OK. I've done rags quite a few times (although this is most difficult!) both Sheffields , Both scouse , Bolton, Blackburn, Oldham and Crewe.
 
I know a whole family who have citizen memberships every year against their names. None of them even like football. I presume touts have lots of these contacts to use as ticket collectors. They can sell to whoever pays the money then.
 
Anyone know WTF is going on tonight ?
Fans singing mad chants in another language at each other all around the ground?
