Away fans / tourists in home sections

It didn't though. You could rock up at grounds and pay at the turnstiles to get in. When I was at uni a few of us decided to drive over to Liverpool one midweek night and watch City at Everton. We sat in the Upper Gwladys and had a good laugh with the Everton fans.
Errrm this is not my recollection of 50yrs ago! Me and mates went to Anfield Boxing Day 1974 (age 14). Anfield Road end was carnage, City were shit (4 down at half time I think but could be wrong as I was concentrating on staying alive). 2 mates left at HT, one was cornered, battered to a pulp and hospitalised for a week. I managed to get back to Lime Street but then me and about 20 Blues were chased to a small hotel where we were barricaded in til Merseyside’s finest sent 2 policewomen in a mini to hold off the baying mob. Managed to get in the back gate of Lime Street to be met by a Blue with a compass (the drawing circle kind) embedded in his back. Made the train which lost most of its windows in the first 10 minutes. Nobody had a laugh.
For some reason I’ve never really like those Scouse scamps since (My prejudice obviously, not their fault)

I’ve seen loads of violence at the rugby league. Wire v Widnes, Wire v Hull, Wire v Leeds at a GF, Leeds on Leeds at a GF, Leeds+other Yorkshire v Wigan at a GF, Wire and Saints at Newcastle when they weren’t even playing each other and they’d tried to sell tickets to Saints near Wire because Saints were playing Widnes and Wire were playing Wigan.

At a Wire v Widnes game, there was fighting before during and after the game.
I’ve seen hundreds of Rugby League games inOz
Beers, Sun, mixed seating you know the recipe for disaster
But it’s just so rare you get any trouble
Maybe, just maybe violence is part of British culture that plenty choose to take
I don’t have the answer but I’ve had many a conversation with Aussies that have this pre conception Britain is quite a downtrodden populace, simmering with violence, shit hole to live in.
They laugh that we sent convicts to a paradise in making, whilst Britons live in a cold depressing hole where you’re dictated to, to be in a class system which lets you know never to get ideas above your working class station
Australia has its faults, but if you’ve got an idea, drive and ambition to give anything a go, you can make a hell of a good future for yourself and family.

I have an immediate ban, based on the allegation.

If proved, I will be banned.

Therefore, the consequences of the alleged criminal conduct are the same, guilty or not.

So, doesn't say I'm guilty? Yes it fucking does.
Are they selling your ticket yet? If they are I'd be getting legal advice.

Not sure mate, I've not asked the question.

My mrs has the next seat to me, so obviously isn't going to the games due to my current predicament. @Tim of the Oak has kindly been taking her ticket off our hands (at FV) to pass on to a deserving Blue. I refuse to list it as I don't want the Club profiteering from our misfortune.

I'm sure, between us, we can find out.

I'd suggest @Tim of the Oak asks anyone who has it to check the seat and if anyone turns up ask them is it there ticket / seat and did they buy from the club. From past experience they'll be selling it which is scandalous in my opinion.

A message to City fans from Sheikh Mansour, 2008.

Khaldoon and I have agreed that the we will not be making any more announcements for a while as we really now need to sit down with the manager, Executive Chairman and key staff and put together plans that will, over time, get the Club to where we want it to be. That is the stage we are entering now and as anyone who runs a business knows, this involves a lot of listening, and a lot of talking to many stakeholders and research and discussion before plans can be announced.

As part of that, we will absolutely spend time listening to you the fans about what you think about the future of the club. We are very aware that without you there would not be a club to buy, and your voice will be heard by the organisation at the highest level.

Yes mate, and they pointed me in the direction of a highly recommended solicitor in Feltham.
As Dodge says, the club is suspending fans season tickets whilst they drag out investigations, with little or no updates to the fans, and are still taking season ticket payments from those fans, whilst selling the seats as match day ticket sales.

I'd hold off on the last bit I may be wrong on that, and @Dodge has confirmed he isn't aware City are doing that. Its my hunch on the back of something I was told by a friend in a similar position.

The seat isn't going to remain empty whist the prolonged investigation takes place. It isn't a crime scene. (not having a go at you)

Can you imagine what it is going to be like with a 400+ room hotel to fill behind the new 'home end'.

We haven't seen anything yet.
Good point. It''ll be interesting to see how many season tickets will be available for the new stand. Not too many I imagine.

So they don't tackle the scousers but .... East stand level 3 today - i'm a city fan (season ticket holder for 38 years and in the same seat in East stand level 3 since the Etihad opened). Just after half time 4 stewards come and get me out of my seat (I had to unzip my coat so my city top was on show to avoid any chance of being battered is someone thought i was a scouser) - they took me on to the concourse and told me I cheered when Liverpool scored. Did i fuck (they are on nearly as high a pedestal as the scum) - told them this and then they realised I was a City fan ... no apology and actually just a huge load of thinking they have "power" with their yellow jackets on. City can fuck off - i'm not entering that stadium again without an apology. 38 years and never had to deal with this shit.

Surely if you've been in the same seat since 2003 most people around you would know who you were? Also it would have taken a couple of minutes to show your season ticket on your phone.

No but it's paid for by dodge so nobody but him should be using it.
That is true. But we're talking about City. That seat isn't going to remain empty on a match day, even though Dodge is still paying for it. There will be more investigations and season ticket suspensions after today, and empty seats.

There's 3000 safe standing seats. I would assume the majority of those seats will be Flexi-Gold season tickets. As for the other 5000 seats, bar the GA+ seats at the front of NSL2, who knows?
