Bradford was a terrible tragedy.. accidental too..remember getting back from us winning promotion at Maine Road and it was showing the fire in the stands.
Couldn't believe what was happening..it's a day that should be remembered

The day of the Charlton promotion game in 1985.

The Chairman of Bradford City had a few businesses that went up in smoke.

And funnily enough the 25 year anniversary one was goalless too (I only remember it cos it was my youngest’s first game, aged 2, got the Zulu reunion!)

Yeah was a shocking game. I took 6 Indian colleagues in Legends and they were bored shitless til it all kicked off with the ageing Zulus, “ just like at cricket!”

Think that was a Saturday match Screamer ...late 80s, there fans climbed on the exeective boxes roofs in their mainstand to get at the board. Mcnab scored for us, can't remenerb the score as my my memory is scared by how sketchy it was outside.

Thanks. I was going to follow up and check the date but was at work when I posted that lol.
I remember we won 2-0 and McNab did a banana shot of a chip to score.

I remember the irony of that. Dipper fans throw a bottle at City keeper AND get praised for it. Liverpool and Everton the roughest away grounds, certainly for Mancunians, in those days

we got back to our local elated and on a big high ( Star Inn Ashton ) and couldn't believe what we were hearing as the news got worse and worse as the night progressed.
RIP Bantams .

After waiting to hear from Met Police for 5 weeks, emailing them twice to check the status, I suddenly got a summons this week to attend Uxbridge Magistrates Court next Friday, which gives me no time to put my defence together so my brief is applying for an adjournment.

Bizarrely, in the same document bundle is a demand from the Met to report to Hounslow PS on 17th March to have DNA & fingerprints taken, 10 days AFTER the Court case. Hmmm..

Also, via my OSC branch, had a lovely letter from Howard Burr, banning me from the branch I've been a member of for 20 plus years (back to the Leicester & Rugby days) and re-iterating that I stay the fuck away from the Campus and never darken 116 ever again.

Whilst reiterating that "this is not an assumption of guilt".

Happy days.

Up the fucking Blues.

It sounds a fucking joke and you certainly shouldn't be banned from the supporters club.

Yup membership revoked. The email from the branch had to copy in Howard Burr and Kevin Parker, just to ensure they had advised me of the ban. The branch have been sound but this has come from up high.

But it's NOT an assumption of guilt.

I'm sorry to read that Dodge.

I hope you come through this shit show.

But I'm not in the least surprised.

The Government to an extent, the Police, the PL, and the clubs are clamping down on football fans like never before. There's a crusade going on at every level to try and rid football of fans who misbehave, regardless of what they've done. And it's now guilty until you prove yourself innocence. Everyone is getting banned, being taken to court, with the police and the clubs doing everything they can to make sure fans are held to account for their actions, regardless if they are guilty or innocent.

As for the OSC's. They are an extension of the club. They are controlled by the club, even though they try and make out they are independent of the club. If you form an OSC or become a member of an OSC, you have to follow the clubs rules and regulations, hence why Dodge was banned by his OSC, just like the club banned him.
