Away fans / tourists in home sections

If I remember rightly, Blackburn fans needed two ticket stubs from previous home games that season to buy a ticket for the match, which makes it all the more remarkable we had so many in the home end.

Can't really recall mate. I didn't pay anything for mine as I was still at school so my dad paid.

I do take partial credit for getting hold of the tickets though as I had an uncle on the other side of the family that lived in Blackburn at the time and I made contact with him. Ironically his best mate there was a City fan and he did a bit of touting on the side I think.

Great day and one of my, if not the, fondest memory of being a blue. The day was rounded off perfectly with an illegal pint or two back at my local pub.

Still pissed off at the security guard though as when Goater scored he wheeled away to our stand and I was fairly confident of getting an embrace off him and the security guard blocked me. ****.

Oh Mike_F ;).
There were loads being sold outside - just depended on what you wanted to stump up

Also saw a video from the swamp last night where a bilbao fan was say in the home end with his bilbao shirt openly on display. He did get booted by the stewards but a rag fan pointed out very clearly to them that they didn't do that against rangers.
Just like our stewards did bugger all against Celtic.

Loads of videos on x showing trouble at Chelsea all over the ground, including on the concourses.

One day a PL club will get sued by a fan who is attacked or injured by an away fan in the home end. And if that fan wins their case against the club, it will open a floodgate of claims against clubs from other home fans. So far clubs have got away with selling tickets directly or indirectly to away fans for home ends, that includes through hospitality or through their ticketing touting partners.

Sorry but no it won't.
I know a long standing Blue who sued the club after being injured as an innocent fan caught up in the Celtic shit show.
The insurers paid out and nobody gave a shit.
They didn't, they dont and they won't in the future give one ounce of shit about it.

But he/she took the money rather than taking the club to court, winning the case in court, and standing next to his or her barrister outside the court, who reads out a statement. I’m assuming?

It’s easy for fans to take the money, except an apology from the club, rather than going to court, making an important point, making a stand, and ultimately winning the case against the club in public, and informing fans of other clubs to the process, the verdict, and legal outcome of the case.

Like football fans, clubs NEED to be held accountable for their actions and their ticket selling policies that do effect home fans.

Most large companies try to mitigate litigation surely? I can't see a club coming out of a lawsuit where they failed duty of care very well.
